“Credit where credit is due. There used to be a time when they made TV comedies about people who worked in mobile phone shops. I have suffered massively at the hands of Carphone Warehouse, may Charlie Dunstan spend a long time in at least purgatory for ripping me off. If what I had been promised by Three actually materialised I’d be able to launch missions to Mars, but alas, they mugged me, promising me this that and the other but not even raising a signal. For the last five years, on the other hand, Vodafone have constantly supplied a great value, reliable service. Yes, trying to deal with their telephone operators would turn anyone into a terrible racist sometimes, especially when you drop $3 behind on your device plan because you lost your debit card and got a fresh one but.. Credit where credit is due. I visited the Pontefract branch of their shop a few days ago, and the girl who dealt with me (Sophie??) seemed to have as much time as I needed, sorted my problems out, was thoroughly pleasant and efficient and a credit to her company. I wasn’t even buying anything. Vodafone seems brilliant nowadays. OMG they have managed to get me to pay £1 a day to talk to my friends and family and I’m grateful for it. Damn. :)”
