“My husband and I tried to open an account at another high street bank with nothing but bother so called to Leeds Building Society in Newcastle and the lovely Lauren helped us out explained everything and within 15 minutes we had our accounts sorted. Very friendly and nothing was a problem. All their accounts were explained and plenty of advice given. Would certainly recommend going there if you are looking to open an account.”
“Excellent Service when registering the death of my dear dad. I phoned the branch and spoke to a very helpful lady and made an appointment to visit the next day with my mam. We visited the branch and were greeted by a friendly customer advisor who showed us to a seating area. We were then greeted by Andrea who took us to a private room. Andrea was lovely and showed empathy with my mam, she took time to clearly explain the options for my mam so mam could make an informed choice. The transactions were very straightforward and Andrea was very helpful. This was an exceptionally positive experience and I will be visiting the branch again in the spring to open an isa with them for the next financial year. “Compared to Barclays on nearby Northumberland St. much calmer and open spaced. Staff polite and helpful. Able to open a new current account with an hour or two (compared to Barclays er...6 WEEKS!). Only issue and this applies to all banks is how you cannot contact the actual branch, all numbers are just for generic telephone banking based in India. All banks just seem to treat their customers terribly in this regard.”
“I had to make a simple transfer of money from my account to an Italian one because my app has been having problems for months, I asked one of the two girls at the counter, the first one told me to wait (which the other time I had done in 5 minutes ) made me wait half an hour and at that point I was already late for work, I decided to queue again and ask the other girl, Danielle, who solved the problem for me in 3 minutes (the other time it was she who helped me ). they should all be like Danielle, fast and effective and also kind. Because of the other girl I was 20 minutes late for work. next time I just want to go to Danielle, the only one in this bank who knows how to do her job. 5 stars to Danielle”

“I was in your store tonight which was my first time in a supermarket since last Monday and obviously since the lockdown. It was a bit surreal and strange seeing it so quiet and having to queue to get in but you could tell that you were doing everything you could to make sure people were safe even though it was a bit scary. You could see the baskets being sanitised before going back and staff taking all the extra precautions! ”

“I use three different banks for myself and a family member, this Lloyds branch is one of the best I've been to. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful, had no problems over the last five years. The only minor issue I had was with their web site but the branch staff sorted it out. The only downsides are that it can get busy and the counter queues can get quite long.”
