Having visited the area many times we wanted to visit steam packet restaurant having heard so much about it. It was lovely evening and people were both inside and outside the venue so we accept they appeared busy. The Cullen skink had by 2 of our group was very salty with very little fish visible in it. We ate and drank here a lot during our visit last May. In March this year I booked lunch of Monday 6th May for 11 people and it was confirmed by personal email. Today, one week before 6th May I was informed by telephone that they will not be serving food on Mondays after all. A Lot of people are hugely inconvenienced by... read full comment

My wife and I have eaten at the Steam Packet over the past few years and food and service have always been good. Today we went for lunch and the food was at another level ! We had Cullen skink and the scallops it was cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. We shall certainly be back. Thankyou.
