“A nice village pub in the cotswolds. Hoorays from London with their poncy lambos rubbing shoulders with Gerald from clarksons farm. Perfect beer, great food, and good people watching.”

“Great staff, good food , nice room, no loud music or TVs . Perfect place for a chilled relaxing stay.

Rooms: Our room had a comfy bed, spacious room, nice bathroom.

Nearby activities: Witney town is lovely little market town, 30 mins from Oxford, 10 minutes to the Farmer's Dog Pub ( Jeremy Clarksons pub), 30 mins to Diddly Squat farm shop, 15/20 mins to RAF Brize Norton if you're visiting anyone.

Safety: Never felt unsafe at all. The Hotel has no car park but there is a free car park 3 minutes walk away which I was informed was safe to leave your car overnight

Walkability: Due to the age of The Blue Boar there isn't a lift so bee prepared to climb a couple of staircases to get to your room

Food and drinks: Food and drink at the Hotel was excellent”

“We had a 2 night stay in the Witney as a group of 3 adults and 3 children. From the beginning at check in the staff were extremely friendly. Sarah was extremely accomodating with the children from check in. We had dinner in the hotel restaraunt on the second night. Food was fresh and brilliant value. Sharen and Anne were great with the children the whole service during dinner ensuring we all had a great meal. Would definitely reccomond a meal in the restaurant if you are staying. Will definitely return”

“I organised a group stay for car enthusiasts with a dinner in the Windrush Room. The location is lovely and the hotel arranged for us to have exclusive parking in part of the pub car park opposite (part of the hotel chain). Whilst there was some other pressures on the Events Team so that communications were a little slow at first, the event ran smoothly and the staff on site, especially those serving dinner, were excellent. Thank you all.”

“Visit was on the 4th September very lovely hotel and location despite the fact the property needs updating as the hallway and pool area looks tired. The staff from reception to dinner and breakfast the next day was outstanding. Special mention to Diana the girl from Latvia who was very polite and attentive.”
