“Lovely Calm Hotel. Perfect after a long work day at the Airport.
The reams are in an old fashion way, and the heating system is Astonisching good.
I did not expect that.
The Breakfast ist Easy-british, and on request you can get eggs, in different ways from the lovely team, and the Night Portier is an awesome person.
The good bus connection to Oxford makes it also a good place to be.
Little charming stores are located in 2 Minutes walk, and by good weather, having a beer in the garden of the hotel, or in the middle of the village is perfectly suitable.
For those that can't spare having a car, you can park the car for free and for the electriccar-users you have two charging ports that can recharge it.
Overall, I can only raccomand it.”
“We booked a Sunday Sleepover offer where supper and breakfast was included in our stay. The motel was great, such good value for the standard. We really enjoyed our supper and breakfast in the Diner and will certainly come back. Just a few small niggles - in our room we were meant to have some complimentary snacks, which weren’t in the room, though we were able to collect from reception. When we went for supper we told our waitress we were doing the Sunday sleepover offer, however had to mention this a few times, as well as ask them to reissue the bill as the offer hadn’t been taken into account. The same thing happened at breakfast, and our waiter was particularly grumpy and unenthusiastic. My toast at breakfast was inedible, must have been left on the hot plate too long, we had to ask after about 15 mins if we could order food, which was met with a groan, and just little things like having to ask for butter for toast and sugar for coffee etc. All these things were very minor and not to the detriment of our stay, we’d still recommend and definitely come back. But I think some tidying up with the service needs to be done for a fully 5* stay. Overall, we had a great time! And for the price, you can’t beat it. Will be back!”
