“We were on holiday locally and chanced upon this gem of a pub. Cheryl and Dave who run it are really passionate about what they do and it shows. The food and beer was excellent. Good sized portions and delicious. The pies are among the best I've tasted and the mac and cheese balls are sublime. The atmosphere is very friendly and Lenny the pub dog welcomes everyone. It was so good we had to go back before we left for home. In these days when so many pubs are closing you guys are giving people exactly what they want: good beer, great food and a welcoming friendly environment at affordable prices. Congratulations!”

“Popped in for dinner on the way home from Light Water Valley with husband and daughter in tow. Best burger I've ever had. Child portion huge and husband thoroughly enjoyed his pie.
Barmaid could not have been more helpful or pleasant (sorry I didn't get her name). Only wish it was closer to home, would be a regular visit.”
