We were really looking forward to returning to Peckforton Castle after attending a lovely wedding here a few years ago, but sadly our stay was disappointing.

Lovely for a wedding setting, which is what we came for. We stupidly opted to stay, at £200 a night. The standard of the rooms is not up to the amount being charged. Holes in the carpet and filthy bathroom. The mattress must have been older than me because it was like sleeping on a water bed. Oh, and they wanted to charge... read full comment
