“Had a really good time at Hobbs shopping for a formal dress. We werent entirely sure what we were looking for and have bought several options online already without any conviction. However, a spurious visit to the store at Cheshire Oaks offered an opportunity to see the dresses an accessories up close and try on.

We were assisted by Helen and she was brilliant. She offered constructive comment, she offered suggestions for alternative options, and helpfully ran backwards and forwards into the stockroom to check availability and bring items to us. As i say, she was brilliant ?

Whilst internet shopping is low effort, it doesn't always yield the results you might be wishing for. Sometimes there's no substitute for a visit to a bricks and mortar store to be helped by people such as Helen.

“I found the centre to be large, varied and bustling, but it’s busy for a reason. If you’re looking for something fashionable but at half of its retail price, then this is definitely worth the effort to get to and explore. There’s also plenty of places to find something to eat for all tastes. (Sadly not at discount prices but you can’t have everything!) Also at the other end of the spectrum you could find some grocery’s at Sainsbury’s next door. So hopefully happy shopping everybody.”

“We went to this shop today in Cheshire Oaks to buy a wedding suit for my fiancé and we're really impressed! Darrell was very kind and professional and provided excellent customer service. We arrived just before closing time but the staff couldn't do enough to help us out. They were really helpful and friendly and gave us the good advice that other shops were lacking. “Main store is closed but a smaller temporary shop is open on the other side of the outlet village by Clark’s shoes. Range was good but the sizes are mainly XS Sand M”

“I visited Cheshire Oaks on 9th October - I try to get there once a year if I can. I bought some foaming shower gel in rituals. When I got home I couldn’t find them. I emailed Rituals in case I had left them on the counter and they suggested I contact guest services. I called guest services and spoke to a very helpful lady who told me Calvin Klein had handed them in on the 10th. As I live in London guest services offered to post them to me. They arrived the very next day. Excellent service by guest services and also thanks to Calvin Klein. Very pleased that they weren’t taken by someone and extremely impressed with the service from all concerned. Thank you all”

“Only place i can find decent clothes for my 9year old. She is tall and isn't ready for grown up clothes yet so there are some nice jeans with rainbows, glitter etc which she loves, its not too slutty, although you get the odd paid of inappropriate hot pants and the prices are great.”

“Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet is HUGE! - the UK's largest outlet centre with 145 stores. It is run by McArthurGlen in the Ellesmere Port area of Cheshire. It's easy to get to via car, being just off the M53, however when using public transport it is much more difficult, there is an irregular bus service which takes around 25-30 minutes from Chester Station. The centre is pedestrianised, clean and with a nice design after getting out of the car park. I do think signage around the centre could be improved, It can be hard if you're looking to visit a specific store/restaurant. There's free parking, but this is common with many out of town shopping parks anyway, but still, always a useful thing to note. There is a good number of places to eat and drink including Caffe Rouge, Carluccio's, Mowgli, Pizza Express, Wagamama, YoSushi Places for coffee include the usual suspects (Costa, Starbucks, Pret etc) Many of the shops do have good deals, obviously, not everything is a great deal, but you can get some low-price clearance goods here Brands with locations here include Adidas, Cadbury's, Clarks, Calvin Klein Haribo, Hugo Boss, Jack and Jones, Lacoste, Nike, Next and M&S, just to name a handful. One of the best places to shop in the area, and one of the better outlet centres in the country, they're missing a huge market though with the public transport connections being so weak. Having a better guide around the centre would also be a big help. 4* PRO TIPS: Most of the centre does have shelter to keep you dry on a rainy day, it's a place much better on a summery day, but no need to panic if you need to shop during bad weather. If visiting with kids, McDonald's is a good shout, they even have an outdoor play area right outside, and they'll even bring the food to you there.”

“Was served by a lady within this store when I needed to return a coaty mother in law had bought for my son which was WAY too big. The lady made everything so easy and also recommended a really great waterproof coat they had in his size. I didn't get her name but she was exceptional. Well done her (an older lady, not too tall .

“Very helpful attentive staff, plenty of room to browse and try on coats. Outlet store so prices cheaper than online and lots of choice. You need to try on Barbour, some sizes are very generous and I needed to drop a size with the coat I bought.”
