“UPDATE: The Bike Factory came back to me and turned the situation around. Somehow, they managed to get hold of the bike and it's exactly what we've hoped for. Thank you!Not a good experience. Ordered a Lapierre Overvolt HT 5.4 2022 model at a discounted price from the website, which said it was in stock. The bike was to be my wife's, who is recovering after chemotherapy and struggles with hilly terrain. It seemed like a good entry level into eMTB. After 10 working days, I gave them a ring to query why the order status remains as "Processing - Awaiting Dispatch" despite the order confirmation stating that it takes between 7-10 working days to dispatch. The person I spoke to (James, I believe) said they had nothing on this bike from Lapierre, will need to chase them up and that they will give me a ring tomorrow. Rang them the next day to enquire again, spoke to a different person who blamed Lapierre for the invalid stock status. They ended up apologising and cancelled my order. I suggest you keep track of the orders, esp. those nearing the delivery deadline and not just blame the manufacturer for your own lack of attention. I shall take my business elsewhere.”

“Last Saturday I went into the shop in Chester for some new walking boots. My old ones were letting in water. I was given amazing advice and care by Jac who explained how my feet needed to be able to move in the boot. Nothing was too much trouble and no hard sell. One week later I walked 13 miles for Alzheimer’s charity with no blisters . Great Job Jac thank you .”

“We had breakfast here on Saturday morning, it was very tasty the smoked bacon was lovely,however the scrambled egg was warm at best but cooked nicely, I know that scrambled egg can go cold pretty quickly so gave them the benefit of the doubt, nice friendly staff and lovely drinks!”

“Was sourcing some sandals that did not have my size online ,phoned this branch I wanted a six ,they did not have one in ,member of staff said she was a six and would try a five ,as I desperately wanted them ,and I hoped I might get away with a five ,she explained her feet were not two wide fitting and really explained the fitting she was so lovely ,and amazingly helpful ,I ordered them ,they arrived to day and fit perfectly with them been slider sandals it worked and I got away with the five ,thankyou so much I can t wait to wear them”

“Go upstairs to pick up and click and collect items. They have a good selection of clothes. If you go after 7 you can usually park right outside and it's a bit quieter. Really helpful staff”

“I've noticed this store in Chester, thinking it probably sold good quality, casual and well-styled clothing. And it does. But, venturing in, it was significantly less expensive than I'd expected, and the staff far nicer and more helpful than is usual. The men's section is small but featured a lot of things I could have easily bought - everything stood out as being a cut above. I'm very glad to have discovered it and my first purchase is on its way.”

“Nice store, clean and tidy and lots of choice at reasonable prices. Took our son to spend his Christmas vouchers and he had a great time, he especially liked looking at the posters on the stairs and the signed shirts displayed. The staff weren’t overly welcoming but polite enough. We will be going back again for some of next years Christmas presents”

“I often pop in here when I visit Chester but on my last visit I was approached by a lovely young woman who was not only very pleasant and friendly but extremely helpful. Thanks to some very simple suggestions I left with a couple of items I would have ordinarily not looked at and am very pleased with .I also heard her advising another customer in the same vein . The fact that she took the time out to engage with her customers was refreshing and made her stand out amongst the lack lustre service we are sadly becoming accustomed too. Zara could do with taking some lessons from here!I wish I knew her name ....perhaps I will find out next time”
