“If I could give this place more stars, I would. I had emergency bowel surgery three weeks ago. The aftercare at Russell's Hall was terrible and non existent. I still had severe dehydration and diarrhoea, when I was discharged from hospital. They didn't provide me with rehydration tablets when I was discharged, nor sensible dietary advice for the diarrhoea. I rang the hospital and 111 for advice but their answer was to go back via A&E!!! The care in the hospital was dire, I wasn't going back to Russell's Hall.I rang The Village Pharmacy and spoke to Anjum. He helped me where Russell's Hall Hospital and 111 completely failed me. He suggested ORS tablets for rehydration and gave excellent me dietary advice. He suggested to avoid all dairy and spicy food, anything that can irritate the digestive system. That tip helped me so much and helped with the diarrhoea, it didn't go away but it definitely eased. Thank you Anjum. The ORS tablets were a godsend, and cheaper than diarolyte.If Anjum hadn't helped me, I would have struggled and definitely got in complications with the dehydration, which could be dangerous. Anjum helped me during a time of desperation. Russell's Hall told me to eat normal food, how vague is that? It's no help at all.This is the best pharmacy I have ever had dealings with. The staff are super polite and helpful and they can never do enough for you! Anjum offered a home delivery for the ORS tablets. I declined as my partner can collect it. They're busy enough . Nice offer and we really appreciate it. Summerhill Surgery staff are always giving us glowing reviews for The Village Pharmacy, and they deserve it! We are extremely privileged to have an excellent pharmacist looking after us.”

A polite team and a welcomed phone call to let me know it was ready. I have now changed my nominated pharmacy to the Morrison’s team.
