“This is a terrific shop. The clothing is expensive but has a long life, washes well and certain items have sun protection built-in. If they don't have the size or colourway you want it can usually be ordered. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, polite and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Lots of beautiful things! Staff always service with a smile. I often feel uncomfortable and overwhelmed in very small shops with lots of items, but the staff never feel like they're staring and eyes are following you around the shop. Great place to get some jewellery, for yourself or as a gift.”

“Visiting from Australia, this bookshop reminded me of some that have now gone from the larger cities - an eclectic range and sometimes eccentric organisation. This ensures the casual visitor can spend several hours with their head in a book on a subject completely unrelated to their reason for visiting (this is a good thing). Reasonable prices, friendly staff. Nice that their is a tea shop inside, too.”

“The free styling Free styling session: 1hr with an expert stylist, with pre-ordered items my size in a double changing room.I walked in with low expectations - I am 23 years old, oddly shaped and very unfashionable. I was expecting to hate how I looked, but instead I found pieces that made me look so nice... that was me, that person in the mirror??Sarah was amazing: she picked out outfits for me to try, from things I had in my comfort zone and those that would be challenging and new. She was so creative and imaginative, but even more so knowledgable: she knew what would work before I even tried it on, and she was right. She picked up outfits I had only ever wished I had worn, "that would never look good on me", and she made me realise that I could actually look well put together and, well, pretty. But more so, she also showed me the versatility of clothing, and how I could make many outfits with only 3 or 4 pieces, and that they would each by for different occasions whilst still looking good. I was so impressed and left the styling very happy.There was no pressure to buy anything or come back: just a taster of what Mint Velvet is all about. Although I didn't buy anything (I was leaving in a hurry), Sarah offered to email me all the names of the pieces I tried so I could keep that in mind for when I came back. Everyone in the store was so friendly and approachable, I'll definitely be coming back again and again!”
“A great shop to go, Its a bit like Fat face and other kind of surf, adventure type shops. Quiteexpensive but has really cool clothes. Mainly womens , with the little bit of mens here and there. They have a really good range of clothes and accessories. Great quality which you have to pay for! Visit one of these stores!”
