“Had a great shopping experience with my sister on 16/11/25. The store had a great range of items for me to pick from, I mainly bought serving dishes.
Oli the young man at the checkout gave me outstanding customer service. He carefully bubble wrapped all my fragile items whilst chatting along with me.
I sometimes feel younger employees don’t get recognition for their hard work and customer service skills. I think this young man is a valuable asset to this busy store.”

Furniture quality is not a thing that you would be happy to invest in , okaish for emergencies or few months of use”

“Been a member since the day it opened, love the store…but this past year, Friday Saturday and Sunday have become so busy it’s hard to find a parking space, people are parking outside on the pavements. Either there are too many members or too few parking spaces. There’s vacant land next to the filling station, any possibility to use that??”

“I enjoy Matalan because it’s price friendly and items are of good quality as well. You can find items as low as £4 from the clearance area and they are of good quality too.”

“Great experience. Went to look for sofas we'd seen online and glad we did as we didn't like them seeing them for real and ended up buying something different. Staff friendly and helpful without being pushy and sales orientated like most of the sofa places and were really helpful and patient when considering options such as colours and feet. “I bought a microwave in July which has developed a fault so I visited the Team Valley Gateshead store where I purchased the item. I spoke to a team member called Stefan who was extremely helpful advising me to return the item. On my return I spoke to a lovely young lady called Ashna who went above and beyond to help. I opted for a new replacement which was ordered in for later that day for me to collect. I would give Argos team members 10/10 for all the help I received today which totally makes everything so much easier talking to someone face to face rather than down the phone or an online chat. Well done Argos your Team Valley members off staff were such a pleasure to speak to.”
