“We chose the Randolph to host my mum's 90th Birthday celebration. We asked for an afternoon tea for 25 guests. From the intial contact and request around five months previously The Randolph management have been exemplary in their understanding and assistance. Health issues with Mum caused uncertainty that we would be would be able to have the event at all however The Randolph were incredibly accomodating and happy to wait until closer to the date for final deposits etc. They were great in assisting with the party on the day and provided a really excellent afternoon tea in Southwold Beach Hut presentation stands which my mum loved. One of our guests remarked that she paid £50 a head for a very average afternoon tea in London and The Randolph's was far superior and far cheaper! Well done The Randolph!!”

“We visited for afternoon tea and I have to say this is up there with one of my favourites! What a treat! You are served a savoury stand first followed by a dessert stand & we couldn’t finish it! They provide boxes to take anything you’d like home! Mini monkfish fish & chips in a cone was delicious, loved the arancini too! Couldn’t fault any of it! The scones were super fresh & the lemon cake superb! Hope that gives you an idea of what’s to come if you book, highly recommended ⭐️”

“Everything was great, would love to visit again another time. Southwold is a lovely place, very charming and the hotel was in a good central location and also lovely. Good food and service also. Would recommend.”

“We stayed here for one night due to a few visits booked in southwold. Location was fantastic, a short walk into the town to everywhere we wanted to visit. Friendly staff on arrival. We got the impression the new owners were trying to get the hotel back up to its best. Very dated in places. But the thing I didn’t like was the cleanliness. The bathroom was dirty. The towel rail was filthy. They hadn’t hoovered the room. There was quite a few cobwebs and dust. The breakfast the following morning was lovely. A lot of selection.”

“Fantastic find, will definitely re-visit. I had the lobster bisque risotto, hubby had the Korean Squealer burger, didn't want the food to end as it was so good. They were pretty busy, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes for our food. The bonus - incredibly dog friendly, even when your dog is a knob!”
