When purchasing my new car I part exchanged my fiesta and the dealership said don't worry we will sort the tax out. They didn't and I have now paid 3 months for tax on a car I do not own. UPDATE!!!!car all returned as dealer was not willing to pay for repairs, fiance company told us dealer claimed mileage allowance so we lost 5 months of installments due to the dealer claiming for mileage even though it was the dealer who wanted the car back and not us!
