I visited the Ardshiel as we would normally two or three times a year, and on this occasion we were vastly underwhelmed, the portion sizes have been reduced to a size where it would be more prudent to eat elsewhere. A colleaged was booked in to stay and invited me to dine with her. We both had the mac and cheese and the parmesan truffle fries. Thet were wonderful. Wonderful staff, very clean room. Breakfast was fantastic with a lovely lady who made it and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
