“My husband and I booked the chestnuts private dining room for our wedding dinner. We were in correspondence with Susie a few weeks prior to confirm details and she was absolutely fantastic and put us so at ease while also offering some great insights/ideas we hadn't even thought of! The food was delightful and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I am vegetarian and there were plenty of options to choose from, the goats cheese salad was a real treat! We dropped in decorations the night before and Susie and the team kindly set the room up for us perfectly for our arrival. The staff were polite and attentive while also giving us space to enjoy our evening of celebrations. We cannot recommend the Chestnuts enough for a special occasion, you made our wedding day so wonderful - thank you!”

“The ladies who worked in the Heathfield store were approachable and relatable, without being pushy or sales driven. They listened well and met my mother in laws needs. Whilst making sure she was comfortable from beginning to end. The store was also bright, clean and fresh.”

“True 4* Hotel, excellent rooms, excellent facilties, restaurant brilliant food at reasonable prices. Car parking brilliant, 24hr open bar for residents. Gym, indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and staff are brilliant, pleasant and very helpful.Rooms: Very roomy, comfortable, and bathroom is very bright and modern.”

“Very hidden from view but a good place to pop by. Found the carpet I was looking for and the guy got it cut and ready for me right away. Even got a txt in the evening checking if I lost keys as he's obviously found some in the shop when closing up.”

“We have looked for a new sofa for a long time, but just couldn't find the right one until now. So pleased with our sofa, it's beautiful and perfect for us, we were also surprised at the price, very reasonable. Stephen the sales guy was great and very helpful without being pushy, left us alone when we needed to discuss and there again when we had questions, it really felt a no hassle smooth transaction, wish everywhere adopted this style it just take the hassle away from shopping. The collection of furniture was also amazing.”

“I and my family only ever had meals at Enterkine House. The wellcome and service have always been really good.The choice on the menu is pretty good, I would say the homemade soups are a must try. The menu is very reasonably priced.We have booked for a family Christmas dinner.I would definitely recommend Enterkine House, even if it's just for a meal.”

“Stayed here a few times and the staff are fantastic. However the person at the desk that works Sunday afternoon/ evening has bad people skills. A few times he has spoken to adults like children and I find him to be very arrogant. I reported a problem with with room key card and I didn’t like the way he spoke to me like a child. Shame because the rest of the staff are fantastic”

“Breakfast was very good!Staff in restaurant/bar/reception were good.Corridors leading to the rooms were incredibly tired and worn.Room itself was…okay. Until I sat on the bed and felt the springs in the mattress. Got woken up when I turned over in the night to find one of the springs had actually come through the mattress and was sticking out!I had a disabled room with a wet room as a bathroom. Blue lino flooring pealed away from floor, inside door was rotten down the bottom where it was getting wet.Drain in the centre of the floor not quick enough to drain the wet room when showering. Room filled with water and went under the Lino that had peaked away from the door area. When I stepped out of the bathroom the floor area was flooded and had also soaked into the carpet.Reception moved me the next morning to a room that was much better and the bed was a lot more comfortable.The next day was working in my room and accidentally dropped my pen onto the bed leaving a small ink stain on the sheet on top of the mattress. I had my room cleaned every other day as I don’t see the need for fresh bedding everyday etc.but after 5 days I would’ve expected the bedding to have been changed as the ink stain was still there. It was evident that the maid had changed the pillow cases as one was on inside out and the old one had been forgotten about in the wardrobe area. Dirty towel had also been left on the floor in the bathroom.I’m an extremely tidy person and my room is always spotless so the maid would’ve had minimal to do in the room. It seems if she didn’t change the actually bedding whilst I stayed in that room at all and only ever made the bed and changed the occasional pillow case/refilled the coffee sachets and left fresh towels there would’ve be a lot more to do.What I’m trying to say is attention to detail goes a long way when cleaning a room”

“A recent 2 night stay. The reception staff were delightful and friendly nothing was to much for them. Had a slight power issue in the room which was sorted 30 mins of reporting it without further problems, top maintenance bloke, very professional. Room was clean and comfortable. All members of staff I encountered couldn't be more helpful. Definitely would stay here again. Special shout out to female staff member I met in the lift with the nice hair.... very polite lady... outstanding in point of fact ?Rooms: Comfortable and cleanFood & drinks: Great breakfast and quick service at the bar”
