“I am not local to this store, it was the reviews that made me make the effort to visit and I am glad I did. I needed a new pair of walking boots/trainers, an experience I usually detest as I have blister prone feet and hate new footwear. I was helped through my shopping experience by John, who patiently listened to my inane questions and offered advice which in the end resulted in me buying quite different to which I originally intended. It appears most of my blister problems have been due to socks, who knew??!!! I am VERY pleased with my purchases. I cannot recommend Blacks enough. As a side, the store seemed very well stocked with lots of everything. All I can say is it is a good job I never visited on pay day.”

“Visited on the 15th July for a boot fitting appointment. Was served by a lovely girl called Karen. She listened to exactly what I wanted the boots for and the requirements I had. After measuring my feet and explaining the 3D scan and reassuring me that I was not a hobbit she showed the patience of a saint. She brought 4 pairs of boots and thoroughly explained the features and befits of each pair. She checked the fitting of each pair and decided to go down a half size. After comparing the boots - wearing a left and a right from each pair to compare and walking up and down the wee ramp front ways, side ways and even baby running steps and jumping up and down, and a lesson in different ways to tie your laces,we managed to choose the perfect pair.

I like to live on the edge so didn’t break them in and went straight up the hills today and my goodness this girl did her job - really comfy pair of boots! Thoroughly recommend this service. Appointment took 1.25 hours and at no point did I feel pressured or an inconvenience. In fact all 3 members of staff that I met all chatted away to me. Lovely shop and staff. I’ll be back!”

“Great wee shop. The staff are very friendly, young folks, with plenty patience to deal with an auld teuchter such as myself ?There’s a fine range of clothes, jackets and back packs. My family and myself have been several times. Definitely recommend a visit. If they don’t have what you need, there’s aye the Cotswold shop nearby. North face gear is generally expensive, but it lasts, you have to pay for quality. Big thumbs up to the staff and store.”

“Go to tk maxx for a great shopping experience. They have lots of designer brands and an amazing selection of anything from accessories (handbags, wallets, scarves, hats & jewelry) to clothing (more shirts than pants). The shoe selection was limited. There were tons to select from in terms of outerwear. You have to use the car park garage located off the shopping center which was about 3.50 for a few hours but it’s well worth the trip and the traffic flow wasn’t too bad for a Friday when I went. The staff at checkout was extremely friendly and helpful.”

“Brilliant store always visit when visiting the shopping centre.They always have nice clothes in stock they do men’s and women’s clothes.They also have a discount scheme. They will normally ask for your email to activate on build up your points.It’s also worth looking at The markdowns at the back of the store for some bargains.”

Diane the sales assistant could not do enough forus , she was so knowledgeable about her stock and could not have been more kind and helpful to us, you could tell she loved her job . “Very helpful staff. Went in f6some new ice grips for my boots. Only about £20 and they really do help you walk in icy conditions without slipping and falling.They sell very nice clothing and gear for all weathers.Also dog friendly shop. They have some water and biscuits for your dogs.”

Clothing stores are bigger, less food vendors/restaurants, and more real-estate to walk without really seeing much more. I hope it survives M&S relocating. I feel it's still very relevant and provides much, to many.”

“Lovely products with amazing customer service. Went in to have a look around and was immediately welcomed by a lovely young lady (she said her name was Molly) who offered me help finding my size. She mentioned that the store offers a free bra fitting service which I hadn’t been aware of before, and she was more than happy to accommodate me in deciding on my right size. I struggle with body confidence and Molly was more than understanding, uplifting, and reassuring when fitting me, she took her time to make sure I was fully happy with the fit and even after deciding on my size she made the effort to find the right style for me. Cannot fault her at all - 10/10 customer service!! Will be returning ??”
