“Great experience.Dropped car off for engine mgmt light fault. Team called me at 10am to say car was ready for collection and fault cleared. Great value for money, but more importantly, respect towards customer shown by explaining work carried out and clarity around recommendations. We also use Alan and team for services and MOT as no unnecessary work is undertaken unless essential. I started using AJ Ross for both our family cars as cost of living and incidental spend has risen in past years and customer service is unbeaten by likes of Arnold Clark etc, and prefer to engage with this friendly independent over the dealerships. “Fantastic experience!I think many do not understand that much of the challenges faced by bodyshop companies like Ashgrove is accessing the parts from OEM and Main Dealers. Some are quicker than others but this is not Ashgroves problem, its a global supply problem, hence the reason insurance costs are and have been increasing!Back to the review in hand!Car collectionThey collected the car (it was technically undriveable) on the back of a truck within 4 days. His name was Stuart.Wednesday i collected the first bike, arrived at time for booking scheduled he said it will be 1hr wait (didnt even check the system) I had a email to say it was built. Finds the bike and takes the bike home. 20mins later the brakes stick and back wheel won't work. Goes back to the shop. He (Stuart) then proceeds to tell me it would be fine in a couple of days it will wear itself down (the bike / wheel doesn't move so how can (child) wait a few days)Dennis fixed it for us on Wednesday night.Friday i collected another bike and Alister checked over the bike before leaving and checked over my concerns I had from Wednesday. He was so helpful and friendly.Small hole on the seat of the bike I collected today. Not good. Noticed this when I was on my way home. “I used this garage to replace a headlight bulb on a leased works minibus. I pre-booked the appointment & arrived about 10 minutes before their opening time of 0800 a.m. Even then the premises were in the process of opening & moving various customer vehicles. I was instructed where to park by staff and very soon had the bulb replaced and was on my way. All in all the whole process took about 15 minutes. The staff were efficient and courteous. I would recommend this garage, although would advise booking in advance, rather than turning up on the off chance.”
