“We stayed for one night in this hotel and did not regret it!
First of all — the location. Since the hotel is located on the outskirts of the city, it’s very quiet there. We slept peacefully, there was no noise, and only the wind came knocking on the window. The bed was comfortable, soft, and clean. There was also a fold-out sofa in the room — it felt just like a bed, equally comfortable.
Secondly — the room. It was very spacious, clean, cozy, and exactly what you’d expect from a good hotel.
Thirdly — the restaurant. We really enjoyed our breakfast. The buffet was well prepared, and the food itself was delicious. There’s something for everyone to eat.
We are very happy that we chose to stay here! Stay here — it’s a great hotel!”
“This hotel manages the rare trick of feeling like a chic boutique hideaway despite its generous size. The service has been nothing short of exceptional: everything is handled with warmth, efficiency and an effortless smile.
A special shout-out to Max, the maître d’ in the restaurant, whose thoughtful attention made every meal a pleasure. The food is truly amazing as well. Highly recommended for anyone seeking style, comfort and genuinely welcoming hospitality.”

“This place is so unique and fun! We had a standard double room which was plenty spacious, comfortable and the facilities were faultless. We had a drink in the bar which again, no problems at all! We didn't have any food so can't comment on that.I would recommend this hotel just for the experience, the conversion from prison to hotel was really well done!Location wise, you couldn't be more central, it's a fantastic location.”
“Great staff, we enjoyed our stay for NYE. Freshly and good breakfast to start a New year. Easy to Park the car and access to city center by bus and taxi .See you soon we hope.”
“Great location, just minutes from the train station. The hotel stored our bags for us while we went into Oxford too which was really handy. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was great, with lovely comfy beds.”

“Ate here for dinner whilst at the Premier Inn next door. We had pre booked through the Inn but when we arrived for dinner our booking couldn't be found..this was no problem and we were seated. Our server was Ann-Marie was very friendly and there was no rush in ordering etc..the food was very hot and delicious..I'd already decided I wanted the crumble for pud and it was lovely..all in all a very good dinner..”
“Breakfast didn't have all the usual items as weren't in the delivery. Silly net curtain in bedroom which kept falling down as the pole was just wedged in to the frame not attached to anything.Co-op, Tesco Express, Iceland and several independent restaurants all within about 90 seconds walk.”
“Had a wonderful one night stay at this hotel. The staff were all so kind and helpful. They made our 1 year anniversary special with the extra touches. Will definitely be staying again and definitely recommend. Good parking for just £6 a night and close to the pear tree park and ride which is ideal for getting into Oxford.”
“It is not about hotel but the Motorway Services with this hotel. Easy to reach but Difficult to get out as a bit of cofusion with adjacent roundabouts..? loved the facilities and cleanliness ? cute and clean services”
“My family and I stayed at the OBH in late Sep 2023 for five days. We had a great experience. Our room was big enough for the three of us and was very comfortable. The pub downstairs does not get loud even on the weekends. The best part is the free parking. St Clement's street is loud due to the amount of ambulance traffic but the rooms seem to insulate most of the noise. The location is fantastic for walking around Oxford.Rooms: Comfortable. Good wifi. No A/C.Food & drinks: The pub downstairs is a nice for a cold beer but does not serve food.Noteworthy details: Free parking”
“Good value for money, nice staff, nice breakfast. Walls are very thin (I was woken up by a neighbour’s iPhone alarm!) so bring earplugs. TV just has standard TV (no YouTube, Netflix etc) which would be a nice upgrade.”
“Excellent central location for Cheltenham. Opposite Brewery Quarter.Rooms spotless.Staff v friendly and welcoming.Breakfast plentiful and varied. No actual on site parking. NCP across road..25% discount if get ticket stamped by hotel reception”

“I stayed here from February through to the end of June for work, Sunday to Thursday. Traveling/arriving late it was important I felt safe comfortable & was able to rest fully. All of which & more was more provided. Thank you!
I observed all staff work very hard. Great team. I felt completely safe, comfortable & especially welcomed week upon week upon my arrival. Any queries I had were dealt with quickly & efficiently. *Special thank you to Dj for excellent customer service & management; welcoming, friendly, professional, & helpful*
All staff are fabulous.
Consider more staff in the kitchen at busy times in the restaurant.”
“Had a lovely stayed in Jericho hotel great location. 10 mins walk to center. It’s a simple room above the restaurant, bed comfy , bathrooms renovated with shower. Breakfast isn’t included. Staff at the restaurant are very helpful, polite and welcomingCheck in - at the restaurant do not come before the restaurant open as you cannot access to your room or any facilities.Parking - on road parking around the hotel is for permit holders only so I use JustPark app, parked at William Lucy way it’s so convenient 10 mins walk by lovely canel path.Nearby activities: The old book blinders pub serve lovely French food ?? with great value.”
“The three most important factors for me are location, sleep quality and staff. In this respect, this hotel delivers very well. The dinner and breakfast were rather ordinary and the room could do with a refresh. We used the small car park at the rear for a chunky £30 but it gave good security for an expensive car. But overall we were very happy to have stayed at the Eastgate Hotel”

“Amazing service – truly 10/10! Everyone was so kind and helpful when I lost my charger. They went out of their way to find me one, and when that didn’t work, the host’s Luli friend overheard and generously let me charge my phone in his car. Such thoughtful and kind people – would definitely recommend staying here”
“I stay here regularly for work, the staff are always friendly and the rooms clean. It's an older style building, which I prefer as it means you can actually open the windows for fresh air. Some of the heating units in the rooms are noisy but settle down after a few minutes.I tend to use the premier plus rooms as they have a fridge so I can bring my own milk to have breakfast in the room. When traveling on business this saves time in the morning. The restaurant is ok, however the other side of the ring road is a retail park with Tesco for sandwiches, and a burger king.”
“Best meal we have ever had, hands down. A truly brilliant, magical experience from start to finish - one of our favourite family memories to date, if not the favourite! 10/10!”
