“Still call it herons, but it's great lots of great bargains. Well, it's worth a visit and it has quick parking outside. Stay with the car as Southport is plagued with over-zealous parking attendants.”

“Lidl is better than it's immediate competitor on displaying the country of origin on their products. My all time favourite supermarket for buying small bottles of (250ml) beer, love their croissant and pan au chocolates. As well as others like cycling gear and thermals. Would not fault it. Excellent value for money. One drawback is the random Lidl plus card/app announcement, it is very loud and makes one jump out of their skin. Would recommend.”

“It is a small store that offers a variety of products; liquors, groceries, meats, dairy products, ice creams, sweets, legumes, vegetables and a little more. It is an excellent option to make quick purchases”

“I've recently moved to Southport and this is my nearest Co-op. The first thing I did when I went in was to check out the free from aisle as my husband, daughter and I are all dairy free. I also have other intolerances so the free from section is quite important to me.I've photographed the main free from shelves, which are currently the first aile on the left as you enter the shop. I was impressed with the amount of brands and items they had and now, when I'm in need of something, I'll go here before anywhere else. The reason I've given 4 stars rather than 5 is because, they often have low stock or stuff missing off the shelves. When I went in and took these photos, it was a Monday, so maybe they'd just had a restock, but since then, I've been in a number of times each week and they tend to have bare or low stocked shelves, which can be frustrating if you're looking for something in particular.I hope these photos help, I'm also attaching some photos of some of the meals that I get from co op, that are vegan, vegetarian and free from.”

“A reasonably well stocked local Convenience store situated within a filling station. Good disabled access. Plenty of parking too, so there's no excuse for blocking the pumps on the forecourt. The main problem here is Tesco's pricing strategy, so you will need a Clubcard if you don't want to pay inflated prices...”

“Decent place for a 'full shop'
Never feel rushed, reasonably spaced aisles.
Good place to shop for smaller families and some good bargains to be had.
Decent bakery for fresh bread.
Still have manned tills, which I really appreciate. I'm not a fan of self-service tills, but they are available if you prefer them.
Reasonable cafe on site too.”

“I use the Co-op regularly for bits and pieces we run out of. It is always immaculately clean and generally well stocked.A young lady has just been past the house offering a "goody bag". It is a nice reusable cloth bag containing a box of mice pies and some playing cards. It might sound odd but it made my day!”

“Large store with lots of space for men to stand around holding the shopping and gazing into their phones while waiting for their partners to return. ?
Good food Hall too.”

“The air and water machine is in a stupid place and if anyone is parked nearby you can't get around your car to pump up your tyres. Also there's a bit of a dip there so if it's been raining you're going to get very wet feet. The ship itself is a Tesco express and has most things you need. Also sells petrol .”

“Great Tesco
We used it to buy a few things and use the toilets. It was all fine. A bit on the small side, but not problem for us, it still had all the items we wanted.”

“We shop here frequently, and like most large supermarkets, it is invariably busy.Parking is in a large pay and display car park, shared with other stores in the retail park. The fee is refundable only in Asda with minimum purchases of £5.The selection of goods is as expected for a large superstore, including a variety of household items, electrical goods and clothing, in addition to the usual food stuffs and produce. Also like many supermarkets, the ratio of self-scanning tills to those operated by staff is not quite right and there are almost always queues. The self scanners always require the intervention of staff, in my experience. Today it went wrong right at the start after weighing our empty bags. However staff intervention was quick and efficient on this occasion, despite it being busy. This is not always the case. The store contains other services including photo printing, an optician, and a pharmacy, all of which, I have used many times previously, and can recommend.”

“Fantastic store in the center of the village. I'm a regular here and the staff are amazing, and it has been such a challenge for them over the past year but they have been fabulous. Keeping spirits up.\\nSome things are out of their hands, like a lack of a dedicated car park, and they should not be to blame for corporate decisions.\\nHighly recommend.”
