“We had been into a local Tui shop and come home and spent hours looking for a 2 week criuse this Feduary .Not a lot of options really for us at that time of year its round the caneries or across to Mexico etc for what we want to pay.My wife said lets go to Barrhead travel in Allerton Road they look at a lot more opperators and might have more choose for us .We seen a lady called Elaine. Elaine that first of all spent time listening to what we hope to get on our criuse, likes and dislikes etc.We are well used to going on criuse and must have been on round 25 or so over the years but I was surprised with Elaine's first suggestion of a p&o brand new ship going round the Bahamas.Ticked all the boxers for us ,deck 5, balcony ,3 people full board, £320 on board spends , good flight times .Job done ha .cost 6k for the three of us 2 weeks .Elaine helped sort the disability stuff also for my son by making a call or two which on a Saturday was we feel good of her .All the staff seemed friendly so this is a small thanks to Elaine for being good at you job and for looking after us while we where there with coffee etc .Next time we will of course check the internet but we will then pop in and say right let's see what you can do . “Very handy shop. Good prices and friendly staff. My only gripe would be that it can be difficult to find things sometimes. Not as in if they stock it or not, but where in the shop things are.”

“Love this place,it’s probably my favourite shop,the only thing wrong is that there is only three disabled parking spots so if I don’t get one,I can’t take my trolley back as my legs are so weak,and I have lost quite a few pounds doing this”

“Normally I would give a 5-star rating to Home Bargains as it is one of my favourite shops. But unfortunately, there were a lot of items I was unable to get this trip and the shelves were quite empty. Also, I have been complaining for a while now, the lack of small trollies. As I have a disability the large trollies are too heavy and awkward to push. They tell me they are stolen all the time, but I am sure it would be easy enough to come up with a solution to this.”

“Popped in for some Rola Cola and came out with bread, milk , passenger door for a cortina, 5kg of powdered milk, 2 snickers , roll of wallpaper and half a twix.

“I went to this Iceland with the intent of purchasing a Pepsi Max Cherry, fortunately upon my arrival to the tills I was met by an amazing member of staff, Finley Campbell who aided my purchase with swiftness and precision, this purchase had left with a lack of a thirst and craving for Pepsi Max Cherry. “they sell pretty good food for insanely low prices. Despite the "reputation", I'd recommend this place. One issue I had is that the aisles are pretty messy, but to be fair there are probably hundreds of people coming through every hour so it must be difficult to maintain.”

“Go-to store for most essentials. Not as “glamorous” as some ALDIs (boxes aplenty) but staff are friendly (Ellie is a star) and prices still largely competitive”

“The new store on County Road is a lot bigger than the old store. It does have plenty of stock to choose from. I got everything I needed. It is clean and has good wheelchair acess, with friendly staff.”

“Great store. Spacious, food items easy to find.Some shops have items scattered around, you get exhausted trying to find what you want so leave without it. Everything in order easy to locate.”

“Well hats off to Iceland's stores all over the country over 60's has a 10%off your bill just show some form of ID with you date if birth on it or your bus pass, but other companies could take a page out of Iceland's book and do something like this not just for over 60s but for people who really need HELP, so as I said At the beginning well done ICELAND ??????????”

“Great idea to have Tesco express in a garage but not when you're only going to get fuel and everyone else is doing what looks like a weekly shop, It is a great place to go and has most things but should have one till just for fuel, the staff are very friendly and always helpful, with easy access to the shop.”

“Aldi is my 2nd choice supermarket after Tesco which has a wider choice. Aldi wins hands down as far as the checkout goes, rapid and efficient and I have never had to wait while a price is obtained. I prefer the quality of the vegetables at Tesco but otherwise the two stores are similar with Aldi winning on price.The width of the parking spaces at my local Aldi is much greater than Tesco.The only thing I really dislike is the presence of people begging at Aldi’s entrance, a practice that should be discouraged.”

“I love shopping at this Sainsbury's as it's so convenient to get to by bus - the no 26 and 53 stop is only a few metres from the entrance when travelling from the city centre and just across the road (via a traffic-light controlled pedestrian crossing) if going in the other direction towards the city centre.
The range of products is superb, with a large clothing, footwear and household section as you enter the store plus a large range of newspapers, magazines and gifts, and an Argos store with collection point.
The bread section is vast - often with cut price goods near to closing time - and the fresh fruit and vegetable fixtures are always packed with a wonderful selection of fresh produce, including organic items at reasonable prices.
The customer service team members are extremely helpful and friendly - and there are often huge discounts available, particularly on clothing, with fitting room facilities near to the toilet areas.
I have always found the store to be super-clean, with aisles clearly identified by overhead signs. Announcements are kept to a minimum with low volume background music playing at other times. The check-out system is fast - even in peak hours and during bank holidays - and there are plenty of self-service tills available, including a large area for checking out trolley loads, next to the basket check-out, with an extra long space for placing goods on once they have been scanned.
All in all, a great experience which is why I'm a regular shopper there. My thanks go to all the Sainsbury's team members - you do a fantastic job even when working under pressure and near to closing times!”
