“Fantastic service from A1 this summer. We broke down in our campervan on the way to Anglesey, the clutch and gearbox had gone, things didn't look good. A1 gave us good advice, recovered the van to their home base and took us and our camping trailer to the far north of Anglesey. Andy from A1 knew we were only there for a week, sourced a reconditioned gearbox and had it fitted along with a new clutch in time for us to drive home. “I had a kangaroo-jump fault on my Mazda - the car started lurching and running away from me. Adam and his team patiently analysed the fault, eliminating likely causes before eventually diagnosing the problem lay in the ECU. This is the last thing anyone wants to hear, as the Engine Control Unit can be a difficult and expensive fix. Adam went above and beyond, often working after hours to get to the bottom of the issue and, ultimately, repair the faulty unit. “Took my Freelander in to get the for sill welded, front left brake pipe replaced and rear brakes rebalanced. They did this all for £150 which is more than reasonable for a Land Rover.They were not able to do the tracking though unfortunately and they didn't have much covid protection standards.”
