Halifax seems to go out of its way to make life as difficult as possible for customers. Confirmation of identity documents have to be certified either in a Halifax branch (of which there are very few left) or by a solicitor who will charge an eye watering amount of money. Shockingly bad!! I went to the counter to pay in 2 cheques, the staff standing in the open said I could use the machine to pay in, not my preference, then getting my account details i got my phone out, the lady said oh pay in using our app.

Worst bank, specifically tumbridge wells branch. My oap father was defrauded £200k and they react by shutting down his accounts. When we were there there were 4 other customers with the same issue. I went in to speak to the team in branch. I let them know how disgusted I was with how they are treating a vulnerable person.... read full comment
