“We stayed here for three nights with friends whilst visiting family and friends. The place has undergone a refurb and has gone with the dark heritage colours that are on trend at the moment, whilst this is cosy in the bar areas it can make the rooms very dark. The rooms are not the biggest and certainly did not need a 6ft plastic plant in the corner of the room, nor the others that were dotted around. Most of the staff were very friendly and the hotel is in an excellent location close to restaurants and shops. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the continental breakfast was more than adequate.”
