“The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were warm and welcoming. The food is great, Loved the breakfast buffet and the oh so amazing Loaded Nachos. Bang on!Please keep in mind if you do order by room service, you need to pay extra 5 pounds. One aspect which most of the non UK visitors can struggle would be to strike the right balance in understanding the shower use technique, which is quite different to what we are used to in EU.”

“We had a very nice stay. Hotel is near Shell petrol station though no EV facilities and nearest EV charging point is 7 minutes drive away. Very nice bar and restaurant with a great breakfast with excellent service from reception. Rooms were clean and a good size. Thank you ??”

“Had a lovely luxury afternoon tea for 3. A mixture of sandwhiches, 2 warmed scones each with clotted cream and jam, chocolate brownies, carrot and walnut cake and a lovely piece of cheese cake. All served with unlimited tea and fruit juice. Beautifully attended by Emily. We even brought some home as we were so full! At least half the price of a lot of other places we had looked at. I would go again.”

“I've used this hotel a lot over the last few years as I travel a lot for work. The best bit of this hotel is the staff. They are friendly, kind, humourous. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are ok. Smaller than some other hotels but perfectly serviceable. The food selection at breakfast is good. There are busy periods where things disappear quickly but there are signs suggesting when the busy periods are if you want to avoid that. There's a good selection of beers, ciders etc. behind the bar too.Location wise, there are great restaurants over the canal or about a 10 minute walk up the road. In the summer go for a walk along the canal, it's mostly flat and is lovely after a day in the office. My only gripe is that car parking can be difficult. The car park is shared with the neighbours and at peak times finding parking can be hard. But really that's my only complaint.”

“What can i say? Fantastic location for our Harry potter studio tour. The staff here are absolutely lovely, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Our room is super, comfy bed and clean and cosy. I must also add that we ate in the restaurant here, wow! delicious food, i had the chicken hot wings, they were huge, so tasty too, i also had sticky toffee pudding and custard, i can honestly say it was the best I've had. Shame we can only stay 1 night but we shall come and stay again. Thank you so much”

“Lovely hotel, rooms have been refurbished to a lovely standard. Only dropped a star because the shower isn't very powerful and the glass around it leaks. Also the menu for the restaurant is extremely minimal, as I can't eat anything spicy the only thing left that I liked was a burger.”

“This pub is very nice with a fantastic beer garden. However, it seemed very pricey to me. I asked how much a pint of Coke is and was told £2.20 which I thought was a good price. The glass that was given to me was a half pint. When I challenged this I was told that they only do half pints, so for a pint I would need to buy 2 half's (£4.40) and the problem I have is not only does that seem expensive but also, I had actually asked "how much is a pint" and was not told they don't serve it as a pint.”
