“I was locked out of my bank account because I tried to make a very large payment for big home improvements. They thought it was a scam so it flashed up on my phone to phone them so they could check who I am. I couldn't do that as I have a hearing loss, I can't make voice calls at all. It's not deaf friendly. I went into this branch to sort it out. Lovely staff sat with me in private and he made the necessary phone calls. I was able to show him photos of the completed improvements and he sorted it out for me and actually made the payments for me. He wrote everything down as I'm not a good lipreader..I didn't want to use Sign Video because I knew I needed to show proof of ID plus the invoice and the work so they could satisfy themselves there were no scams or fraud.This was actually the second time I had interacted with staff here. I wasn't sure how to do something on the cashpoint machine inside the branch. Lovely lady showed me how.Definitely a super branch. I can also vouch for Southend on Sea Santander branch as being excellent too.”

“It's a bank... you go there for financial transactions, drop your money in and take it out. I've had Halifax take care of my financial matters for some 40plus years now. The staff are competent and pleasant and patient. All are truly good at what they do.Four stars because I expect excellent, and I get excellent :) so if you have banking to do, do it here. My only criticism? A bit fast to direct to machines, I prefer to deal with people. But I guess that's the modern way, and of course the covid 19 issues too.Anyway, great job, guys :)”
