“I recently visited Rhinefield House Hotel in the New Forest for Afternoon Tea. It’s set in a stunning location and the hotel itself is beautiful. We did a lovely walk from Brockenhurst, which meant that Rhinefield House Hotel was the middle point of our walk – making it an ideal stop after working up an appetite.After walking down the main drive, we found the welcome at Rhinefield House Hotel a bit confusing and unwelcoming. We felt as though we were being an inconvenience when we first arrived – even though we had a booking. However, once we were sat at the table the service was much better. We sat outside on the terrace and although the view was beautiful, I would say that the furniture was quite uncomfortable and had certainly seen better days. A cushion and a lick of varnish would certainly make an improvement.We started with a cocktail, and decided to go for a Negroni. We then went on their classic menu, which consisted of a plethora of sweet and savoury items to enjoy. Some of the highlights included the first selection of savoury items which involved a goats cheese tart, a beef and mushroom wellington and a salmon roulade. They were all utterly delicious.Overall, everything on the Afternoon Tea was fantastic. The quality was great, there was a generous amount of everything. We certainly left needing to do the remainder of our walk! The setting of the hotel is gorgeous, and I feel that apart from the few issues in regards to the welcome and the outdoor furniture being a bit lacklustre, the food certainly more than made up for it. I would rate the experience overall around 4.5/5, but the food tipped it for a 5 star rating from me as it was amazing.”

“Just returned from a one night stay and overall conclusion it was a lovely experience for the following reasons; Staff were welcoming and attentive. Customers services provided from reception, spa, to dinner in the lounge was excellent. The chocolate and card for the birthday celebrant placed in the room provided a personal and thoughtful touch. The Afternoon team at the Cambium and its settings was relaxing, underpinned by attentive staff. The chicken quinoa salad we had for dinner, from the all day menu, was one of the best we've had - a shout out to the Chef. The spa treatment was heavenly loved by the birthday celebrant - a big thanks for making it a memorable experience. The facilities- pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna provided extra relaxation to a lovely weekend. If l had to provide any feedback it will for the hot breakfast option to be included as part of the breakfast buffet offer. Paying separately for this seemed an unnecessary and extra expense. Will I recommend to family and friends? Yes l would.”

“Stayed at Carey's Manor for a Spa weekend with my daughters. Staff were so helpful with advice for booking the rooms, spa sessions and treatment, and got us connecting rooms so it felt like we were all together in a suite. We had dinner in the Zen Garden restaurant which was fabulous. The breakfast the next day was also great. The spa facilities, leisure centre and our treatments were fantastic. All during our stay staff were helpful and friendly. We all really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.”

“My partner and I are always cautious about going back a second time to any holiday resort or accommodation; it's never guaranteed that the original good experience will be repeated. Nevertheless, we elected to stay at Premier Inn's Hordle hotel again having spent a few days there about two years ago. It is situated in a perfect location for both exploring the New Forest and the nearby cast, and the standard of service is excellent. I think there's a good chance we'll be back again in due time.”

“I booked in here with my partner for a 2 day mid week break.First impressions of the Hotel from the outside are really positive. They have a covered area outside which has a lovely mix of wood and white lights, with heaters, it has a very nice feel to it.On entering the hotel, there is a small reception area and a beautiful staircase. On the occasion we visited, there was a massive, beautiful Christmas tree stetching up the well of the staircase. The atmosphere is cosy, warm and welcoming.The room was outstanding. We had a suite with a lounge area and a four-poster bed. It was immaculately clean, and the bed was genuinely one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The bathroom was awesome with a very big, deep bath and a beautiful walk-in shower. There were modern high end tv's in both the bedroom and the lounge area. It could do with a little updating, with respect to the decor or fittings and fixtures (excluding the bathroom) but it does not, in any way, detract from the room itself.We had dinner in the restaurant. I had the panchetta soufle and the filet stake accompanied with a bottle of red. It was one of the best meals I've had. The soufle was stunning and the steak cooked to perfection.The pool and gym area are well kept and tidy, there are a few things like wiping the pvc windows or repairing some of the tiling, which would only add to the ambience.The thing that set all of this apart from other 4 star, 2 rosette hotels, is the service. All of the staff, and I genuinely mean all of them, have been friendly, kind, courteous and the whole time. Absolutely first class service.I would highly recommend this hotel spa.Safety: All the rooms have key card access, and there's always a member of staff availableFood & drinks: Small but lovely and accommodating bar with a great selection of drinks. The restaurant is first class.Noteworthy details: The service is second to none”

“We stayed for one night, based on a voucher we had held for almost a year, so anniversary seemed a good time to use it. We were in the pig sty a beautifully laid out self contained lodging. Although the weather was not good, the whole place was excellent. Had dinner in the restaurant and the staff were helpful and charming and the food wonderful. Would certainly recommend and return.”
