“We had a fabulous night’s stay at The Pig in the Wall. Our room (4) was spotlessly clean, with the most comfortable bed. The room was decorated so stylishly and there was everything in the room we could have needed. The staff were very welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful.Breakfast was superb - an excellent choice of cold and cooked foods.The location is very good for exploring Southampton - overall I’d thoroughly recommend this hotel.The cocktails are great too!”

“The Holiday Inn at West End provided refreshments for the wake after my fathers funeral.The staff were superb, and could not have been more helpful.The sandwiches, salads and biscuits were delicious, all freshly prepared and well presented. There was was plenty of space allocated for the mourners. 5/5 stars all round.”

“Great hotel, very helpful staff. They let us check in a bit earlier which was very nice. Hotel room was very clean and nicely decorated.Only complaint is the swimming pool area is in desperate need of a refurb. Lots of rust on the stairs. Just bring flip flops and you can go for a swim :)”

“A very authentic and cozy place :) the employees are nice, but a bit hard to reach. We probably came in a very busy time. The room was lovely and it felt like being in a 1700s movie. If you accept that the floors are creaking and the bed is not level, then you will have an amazing time :) The atmosphere was excellent and dinner was great! They even have live music and sports.Noteworthy details: The room had a secret door that led into a stairway up to a sitting room in the attic where you could relax completely.”

“What a place, all I can say is it's fantastic the rooms are spotless and a credit to the cleaning staff ,the staff in the restaurant were so helpful and the food was out of this world this is one place I will be returning to and would recommend it for anyone that is staying in the area it really is a credit to everyone who works there”

“Centrally located hotel, with friendly staff who greeted us upon arrival. Fresh clean room and bathroom. Hotel was fairly quiet during our mid-March stay. Really cheap for what we got, very impressed.”

“popped in for cheeky pints twice this weekend when walking with doggies who were visiting the area, and the boathouse staff were lovely both times. second one was sunday night and close to closing time (we didn't realise) but the staff were so accommodating even though they'd started washing up etc, they didn't rush us, helped us outside with drinks and gave our dogs some love! I always notice the big difference between "dogs allowed" and "dogs welcome", and we were definitely welcomed. thank you everyone xx”

“Genuinly impressed by the staff and their avoidance of a massive build up guests at 3 o’clock (because of an event in the Novotel) by letting us check in early. As far as I am concerned this showed staff who think on their feet and want to make sure everyone has a great experience.Honestly, I can’t fault them. “What a wonderful stay. Booked a 2 night stay for myself and my fiancée to celebrate our engagement, and it was a wonderful stay.The staff were all lovely and so helpful. “I booked a room last minute to stay for the night. Location was near shops and eat outs. They have food and drinks at the reception. Books are also available to read. The room was clean, quiet and well lit. It has all the basics and you can get the rest from the reception. I would highly recommend it to family and friends. I will also come back to stay for sure. It is economical and great for the value.”

“We visited the hotel for a wedding and found the staff welcoming and professional. In particular Hoss and Sofia, who were very helpful with additional information, and even managed to locate my husband's wallet which he had managed to misplace.The staff at the wedding were also very professional and friendly and helped ensure the day went swimmingly. Would thoroughly recommend and would happily stay here again.”

“This was an excellent find for business in the area - so close that I walked to work every day. There are only 3 rooms (as far as I could see). Each room is newly furnished and has views over the river (although it was dark the whole time). The beds are comfortable and although space is limited, careful arrangement of the desk and window cill allows a working space. WiFi worked well. The bathroom was small but was adequate. No catering available during the times I used my room so bough m own breakfast from Tesco on the way in. Right in the village of Hamble-le-Rice with restaurants and pubs (I did not use because of Covid). Breakfast could be had at Jennys but reviews suggested it was slow service which is why I never used it.”
