“This hotel is outstanding. It was our first stop after a long flight from New Zealand. Great location on the Marina. The front desk was well run and organised. Rooms are up to date and well appointed. Amongst the most comfortable beds you will find in any hotel. A superb breakfast. Couldn’t fault the place! Our special thanks to the hotel concierge. We had left our phone charger at home and he provided one for us; helped us with finding our way about the place and with our mountain of luggage. A real credit to the hotel! You will struggle to find a better place than Harbour- well done Team Harbour!”

“We love The Pig in the Wall. This was our second visit here and found it to be as good or better than the last time we stayed. The accommodations were unique in this historical building. The breakfast buffet was excellent too. TheInn is on the border of Old Town, which makes it great for walking the area from the hotel. Then…it’s a short cab ride to get on your cruise ship.”

“Easy check in, welcoming staff, a comfortable bed, good food & reasonably priced drinks. All in all a good stay & we would definitely return. We stayed here the night before our cruise and have stayed here before for the same reason. We consider it to be good value for money and a good hotel with parking right next door for £5 overnight.”

“Fairly speedy check in but nowhere to sit In reception whilst my partner was checking in. A large hotel so lots of walking to get to your room. Very noisy in the bar and limited comfy seating to enjoy a drink. Staff were friendly in the bar and very polite and courteous. It’s not always the hotel at fault but guest spoiling it for others. Parents need to stop their children running and screaming in the room corridors. Otherwise clean and comfortable room with good facilities”

“Didn't stay, visited pub for dinner, can see why the place is popular. Staff were great, attentive to customers & apologetic when they didn't have the wine we ordered in stock (but had a suitable alternative, so all good!). Reasonable menu and great quality food.”

“The young lady on reception Tuesday Night, Wednesday Morning, and we got to say goodbye to her in Thursday morning was so helpful. The first night we were put in one of their plus new suites. And helped secure us a room for the next night. It made our journey into becoming new grandparents that much more special, thank you.”

“After reading so many negative reviews was delighted to experience the opposite of many others. We booked to spend night before joining cruise and our room was nice and quiet and we had a great night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed. The room was well appointed and spacious.”

“Friendly staff, breakfast was great, plenty of choice and very fresh. Room clean apart from a rusty bin in the bathroom. The bath mat was a little black on the edges and one of the socket faces next to the bed was cracked.. location superb, in the centre but quiet. Would stay again.”

“Had dinner with my partner last week. Service was a little long, whether to be seated or to take the order. There weren't many staff members but our waiter was calm and nice and he didn't show the stress he must have had. We did wait a little long for the food to come out. My partner had a burger. Nothing special. I had the fried scampi, I thought that they weren't fried so my bad. Careful when you bite into them hot water sprays out. Nothing special either. The atmosphere was nice and romantic. There was a party and live music on the other side which was great to join but they had finished singing by the time we ate. We will probably come again for a drink and enjoy the music.”

“The food was superb. I had grilled sea bass on a prawn chowder and baby potatoes (in the chowder), my wife had glazed salmon flats on an Asian stir fry and both were excellent.”

“Don't stay here if its hot. The "AC" in the room was completely useless. Too hot to sleep. Beds are also rock solid and not very comfortable. Slow check in / long line while the staff tried to figure out multiple peoples missing bookings. Not very impressive.”

“We had a lovely stay at this hotel to go to peppa pig world , the hotel was lovely and the restaurant areas and bars nice and clean , lovely staffing , the best staff member award goes to to young gentleman waiter that was on for breakfast and especially the older man in pictures who went above and beyond for our little girl and Sind happy birthday for her which I though was really special so Thankyou so much, the downside to the hotel was the bathroom in the hotel room they really need updating as the family room we stayed in was lovely and clean and also the changing rooms for the pool area was very tired looking especially the family changing area…we were also left quite upset after being charged £50 on our card and having to have our room inspected the next day by two managers for apparently smoking illegal stuff.baring in mind we rang down in the night to say we had been charged and no one knew anything about it.luckily we have online banking or we would not have known about it .”

“A short stay at Chilworth Manor, with a swim before breakfast and a great meal at the bar the night before made my walk round the show easy. All the staff I spoke to were very helpful and as this was my second stay it won’t be my last.”

“This is a 2 star budget hotel and charges based on this. You get the Travelodge consistency, quality and value for money for what you pay for. For short city budget breaks where a clean and comfortable room with good customer service is what you need then you won't go wrong.”

“After reading the reviews we didn’t really know what to expect but on arrival staff were helpful and pleasant. Our room was very large and spacious. Very clean throughout the hotel. Made use of the swimming pool. Gym was very well equipped. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice for Vegans apart from no non dairy spread available. We are back in December for another stopover and car parking for another cruise from Southampton hopefully our next room will be just as good and our review too.”
