“Well-stocked, friendly staff.Free parking outside the shop, but to avoid getting stung you need to validate your parking via the kiosk on your way out. Staff will print off a ticket which you can use to do this.”

“Probably the best Costcutter I've ever been to. It has the lot, all the usuals; bread, milk, magazines, energy drinks and even more including but not limited to hot pies, as is to be expected round this neck of the woods. Staff are friendly enough and prices are reasonable and more often than not marked up correctly. Convenient location with easy parking. If you can see past the broken windows and steer clear of the local yardies (unless you're a local yardy obvs) you'll be happy as owt with this shop.”

“Superb shop and a lifeline to so many in these difficult times ,, they are the one store I think ??? bucking the trend and keeping prices as fair as possible - just recently prices have improved slightly indicating a willingness to pass savings onto the consumer as soon as possible and in my opinion there’s been no sign of profiteering.Store is spacious and well laid out and the Staff for the most part are really helpful friendly and chatty with a good sense of humour.The opening hours are really helpful,,, always open by 8.30am and probably earlier even than that I’ve never really checked.Sometimes the sell by date is short but it’s only a guide and I’ve NEVER had any problems ,, it keeps prices low. Through Covid like most of the retail Shops they turned up every day and kept us going with a stoic sense of humour and I’ll never forget that. Being a single 63 yrs old living alone I’m lucky enough to be able to adapt to the stock held in store ,, in these mad times I pretty much do ALL of my food shopping here.Today though I was served by an individual that I don’t wish to single out ,, manners of a Mongolian Warthog with a bad attitude and rude beyond belief - may have been having a bad day but it embarrassed me - hopefully a one off.Well done Heron ,, the best in Atherton. BY FAR !!!.On a brighter note I was amused to find this bottle of beer leering at me from the biscuit shelf of all places ,, a sign of these mad times we live in.”

“Just been in for plasters because I cut my finger, couldn't find them in a panic as I was bleeding. Asked a lovely man who rushed to get me a plaster and even put it on. Was really touched. Hats of to the amazing staff . Wish I had got his name.”

“The staff have been very helpful with me ,new faces young staff member have been respectful.As I have previously mentioned when I've bought Bananas some have been bad or seriously damaged.i really enjoy the ready cooked hot food section.”
