“I had lunch at a coffee shop recently, and everything was perfect!

The mortadella sandwich on focaccia was really delicious, with soft, well-seasoned focaccia. The thinly sliced mortadella added a gourmet touch that completed the sandwich perfectly.

The sausage roll was excellent, with a crispy pastry and a flavorful sausage inside—it was a real treat.

To top it off, I had a flat white, and it was spot on, perfectly balanced and creamy, just what you expect from a great coffee.

They stock caviar and fantastic (expensive) wine, have amazing cheeses, a good deli case with pies and macaroni/cheese made in-house, and have a huge and jaw-dropping selection of potted and tinned meats (wild boar in aspic, ginormous cans of duck confit, etc.) plus every sort of condiment you can think of - and fruits/vegs, and candy, and magazines, and souvenirs... Wildest of all is their American section! There's a large variety of American candies, boxed products like Kraft Mac 'n' Cheese and Pop Tarts, and way, way more. It must be seen to be believed. In short, it's utterly great and completely unexpected for this location, and we love it deeply, truly, and madly.”

“Aldi as any other, weekends it's packed. After the afternoon, it's mostly less of stock available in shelves. Parking is there but also get ready to search or wait for a parking spot. Overall, good.”

“A large store for a local. Conveniently located opposite Holborn station and a 5 min walk from the British Museum for convenience. Great selection. Lunch times (between 12pm and 2pm) are usually very busy with queues sometimes going to the back of the store but don’t let that out you off as the queues are managed by attentive staff very quickly and help is always on hand by friendly staff even though it is often manic.”

“One of the best bagels I’ve ever had! I tried the slow-cooked beef with pickle and mustard, as well as the smoked salmon with cream cheese – both were fantastic. I arrived around 11 AM, and the bagels were still perfectly soft, which can be hit or miss later in the day as they tend to harden quickly. Staff behind the deli bar were so lovely too!

While some of the groceries are on the pricier side, the quality is top-notch, so you definitely get your money's worth with fresh, high-quality products. This place is a must-visit whenever you're in the area!”
