I know I couldn't cook something as good at home. Sister had bavette steak, medium, very good with peppercorn sauce and crisp chips. Eve, the waitress upstairs attentive and charming. We just want to say thanks to all the staff, especially Lewis and Fabian who ran the bar and dished up the plentiful food.

I really recommend Martha's bar for a private party and the Washington Pub generally, one of the best in London I would say.

“It was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We visited lunchtime yesterday just for a quick drink. However, when we got there, we were tempted by the lunchtime offer of 2 or 3 courses for £20 or £25. I had the pea ravioli to start and fish and chips for mains. Everything was perfect, very tasty and fresh, and a good-sized portion despite being an offer. Service was faultless, just right not overdone or in your face. Everything at the right time. Lovely cosy pub and surroundings next to the river overlooking the 02 arena. Great outside area for the sunny days, too, with bar and music with the perfect Thames view. This is gem of a place and we'll worth a visit.”
