“Waitrose in Balham has a certain atmosphere, perhaps an unstated dress code. There are some nice products, cheeses, bread and morning goods and others. The members of staff who have thrown off the mystique are the nicest, smiling and sharing the time of day in a natural manner. There is, however, a certain standoffish air from some shoppers (and - very few - staff members) that marks this Waitrose as indelibly Balham.”
“Great selection of pre-made meals and salads which is perfect for me because I don't enjoy cooking! Coming from the states I was especially impressed with the unique flavors, variety and freshness of the products. Will be back often!”

“It's Sainsbury's, but it's my local. 90% of the time I get everything I need and appreciate the wine / whiskey buyer for the store, always a good selection and quality. Recently had a few ups and downs in terms of stock and availability of produce, but generally it's a well looked after store.”
