“I wanted to leave a review today because I had such a nice experience in my local Kelvedon Co-op store. The store is currently super stocked with Easter goodies, which makes getting around the store in a mobility scooter really challenging. For me there are 'no go' areas in store, that will just not accommodate the turning circle of my scooter. I think this needs to be looked at by the senior level of management at the Co-op, because it gives a message that sales opportunities take priority over the comfort and inclusion of disabled people (like me). However, back to the nice part of my experience and that was store worker Harry, and store manager Sam, actively trying to make my experience easier by listening to my concerns re: hitting shelves and displays with my scooter, and by a genuine concern to improve my shopping experience by re organising Easter displays taking up additional floor space.They were kind and lovely and I'm grateful. Senior level management please take note....disabled people like to shop in comfort and without anxiety too.”
