Really disappointing to see this formally good establishment in a state of decline. Needs better management.

Shocking lack of cleanliness.
All our 3 rooms were coated in thick layers of dust. Drinking glasses hadn’t been washed since the previous guests. One room had a carpet stain by the wardrobe that looked like animal faeces. Worse still, the top of that wardrobe was littered with what appeared to be bird droppings.... read full comment

Super convenient location just off Mermaid street in the heart of Rye. Lovely rooms and a hearty full English breakfast's served in this beautiful historic hotel. Loved our stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly.
