“What a fantastic pub. I had a nice pint of real ale to go with my dinner. I had the mussles in white wine sauce which was delicious.The staff were attentive and listened to our extensive requests (we were a table a of 9). Can't fault this place for delicious food.”

“Stayed for only one night but wipo definitely be longer next time. Lovely friendly place, staff lovely, food exceptional, absolutely gorgeous and all home cooked. Very clean and easy walking distance of lovely city centre. Definitely recommend this place.Food & drinks: Lovely home cooked food and lovely chardonnay.”

“Nice central location, 10 mins walk from the old town. Service was excellent and breakfast was great too. The room was clean and spacious with a rain shower.Walkability: Within walking distance of the whole city. 5-10 mins to the old town centre.Food & drinks: Breakfast included continental pastries, full English fry up, fruit, yoghurt, toast, hot drinks and juices. Amazing service.”

“Always know what to expect with a Travelodge. The location is a bit of a walk from the main centre but just a short taxi ride. Lots of rooms and great value for money.”

“Stayed Friday 6th til Monday 9th October visiting family, staff at the hotel were lovely especially Ulia she was very helpful a bit of a mix up with rooms that were booked, rooms were a bit dated but clean we had the full breakfast very nice the meals were priced reasonable, would stay again but would require a mobility adapted room bath too deep for me.”

“This is a lovely, small, and dog friendly pub in a beautiful part of Durham next to the river. The menu is fairly typical of most pubs and is well cooked and well presented. The fact that it also has a menu for dogs makes it stand out from the rest. However, we didn't find out about that until we were about to leave, which was a shame. My pooch would have loved the chicken breast. Unfortunately, she doesn't doesn't tolerate gluten well, so no sausages for her. Never mind, we will know for next time.”

“Excellent store with incredible staff.I visit every few days and it is a treasure trove of items.I have had many items from store and as an avid collector of media items it really does get me buying up all sorts or music and movie items.They also often have household items and also crafting and hobby items 2hich are always a treat.Highly recommended.”
