“We had a fantastic stay; 2 nights in The Cabin. and 1 Night in The Loft with our little Boston Terrier too :)The Cabin was so peaceful and had everything we needed. The space in the living area is well planned out and never once felt limiting, bed and sofa both super comfy. The kitchen area being completely separate was really handy. The camping stove provided was excellent and we were able to cook a full english - courtesy of the pre purchased breakfast hamper we ordered - and an evening meal with zero issues. Great shower, and the compostable toilet was straight forward to use and came with instructions too. The porch area was ideal for relaxing, board games (provided) and enjoying the sunshine and idyllic views. Outdoor bathtub was lovely and plenty of firewood provided. We pre-ordered pizzas, which the staff surpassed themselves by offering to deliver, and they were delicious!The Loft was a real treat. First of all, the cleaning staff also went above and beyond to have us in by 11.30am so we didn't have to wait until 3pm after checking out of The Cabin by 10.30am - this was a really nice gesture. The Loft is adjoined to the super cool Workshop bar which has a pool table, games console, table tennis and dart board, and was filled with loads of cool nik naks and neons as well as some classic motors! The Loft itself was perfect for a relaxing and chilled stay. The smart enabled cinema screen with sky box and corner sofa are perfect for taking it nice and easy. Bathroom was really modern - wet room shower is great, and an extra downstairs loo was handy too. Kitchen once again well stocked with everything you'd need to prepare and cook a full meal. Dishwasher, Toaster, Microwave, Coffee Pod Machine, Fridge/Freezer and Dining Table really did give a 'home from home' look and feel.Kip & Nook is perfect for couples and small families getaways and looks to be a great option for stag and hen parties too! “Love Dunelm, and this branch is great, big and bright with a massive range and nice loos! Although this is really just to say a special thanks to the two lovely staff in the cafe when we pulled in on a Sunday at 2 minutes to 4 for a cuppa and a scone to break a long, wet journey. They could have been grumpy and turned us away but they were cheerful and funny, made us happy so thanks ?”

“We needed somewhere to stay in the Darlington area so that we could attend a parkrun in Spennymoor. Although here are closer premier Inns, the price and location were excellent. Usual good standard, clean rooms, hot showers and a decent Beefeater next door for an evening meal. There is a MacDonald's for cheaper food next door.”
