I had an amazing experience here!!! From walking in I was made to feel very relaxed and comfortable The frontline staff are very professional and understanding. And the examination team are very thorough. There was no rushing through.I felt totally confident in their judgement.

Very disappointing, before leaving 88 my mother in law in The Eye Place, I told them she didn't need the test's that looks internally at the back of the eye, after I had left they talked her into it, the final bill came in over £700 for one pair of glasses.

From The Eye Place - Bakewell
With a heritage beginning in the year 1720, a business know as Woodcock's Consulting Opticians was started which manufactured 'spectacles and eyeglasses of a very high standard'. The Eye Place in Bakewell is a direct descendant of that original business. Woodcock's became known as John Pepper Opticians- run by the great, great, great grandson of the founders. Now trading from the former site of the Royal Oak, Alex Kemp bought this business in 2006 with the purpose of continuing that tradition of supplying 'spectacles and eyeglasses of a very high standard'.
