“We went for the festive afternoon tea and it was beautiful. So nice to have a variety of different savouries instead of the standard boring sandwiches.
We were greated at the door. The building was nicely decorated and tasteful art. Woodburners were going, nice lighting all made for a soothing comfortable atmosphere. The afternoon tea was great. The savouries were butternut squash with blue cheese quiche, pea and mint puree on rye bread, ginger and apricot sausage roll and a beautiful turkey and potato fried ball on cranberry. Lovely, lovely flavours and quality. Highly recommend the festive afternoon tea if your looking for something special locally”

“Lovely evening meal for our 13th wedding anniversary (we got married here too) Stunning food with a lovely little touch on our dessert saying happy anniversary. We are regulars here and at the golf club, lucky to have it so close by”

After a walk through Kingswood with the pups. Stopped off and had dinner. It is a wonderful seaside pub with good food and brilliant service.

“Had the assessble room, No 3,very large,plenty of space,low bed,panic alarm,which worked, as pressed it by mistake. Bathroom was huge,wetroom,plenty of grab rails. 10/10. Non slip floor”

“It has been a wonderful few days staying at The White Hart Hotel in St. Austell. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent, as were the couple of evenings when we ate supper there. “We stayed for 3 nights in February and chose a sea-view room as it overlooks the Cornish coastline.
The room was large and the bed was comfy.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our breakfasts - bacon sandwiches and egg muffins!
The hotel is ideally located for visiting the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Rooms: We booked a seaview room - amazing views. Decor was a bit dated, but functional.

Nearby activities: There is a coastal walking trail to Charlestown and the Eden Project is less than a 15 minute drive away.

Safety: The hotel is in a quiet area with off road parking.

Walkability: You can walk to Charlestown in about 20 minutes. You could walk to the local tescos supermarket or the bakery - the traffic can be pretty heavy on the main road.

Food and drinks: There is a restaurant at the hotel - varied menu, but quite pricey. Very limited wine choice sold at the bar.
Breakfast was good and well prepared - full-English, egg & bacon muffins, scrambled eggs etc… It would have been good to have some fruit as a choice - there was only a large bowl of prunes in juice.

Noteworthy details: The staff were very friendly and there is lots of off-road parking.”
