“A wonderful and personal welcome on arrival. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The decor is a beautiful unique and boutique aesthetic and the rooms were comfortable, full of lovely personalised treats and messages. The food is also excellent and all keenly priced. Will definitely be going back.”

“Can't comment on the rooms as we were only passing guests for dinner but if the rooms are on par with the restaurant I would say they'd be very good. A lovely setting with very friendly staff. The food was really good with a classic array of options such as Scampi, Steak and Kidney pudding, Burger, Steak etc but all well prepared and hot. The bill was very reasonable as well. Thoroughly recommend”

“We stayed at this hotel in October 2023 for 5 nights. 2 adults and a child. We had a large room with a very large main bed.Breakfast was good. We only stayed for one dinner at the hotel which was good too.Our choice of St Austell was that we could explore Cornwall from this place easily. This was our first visit to Cornwall.”

“From the moment we entered the store we were greeted by Tim, the Salesman. We bought a whole new range of furniture, he was the most informative about the Products and deliveries, he is an absolute credit to Furniture World. Good delivery service as well”

“Rather amazing and dog friendly. We've been walking past this place on ourt dog walk on and off for three years and never got round to dropping in sometime, so this week we decided to change that and called in at lunchtime.Being mid November we took advantage of the winter parking rate in the village of 50p for 3 hours, had a walk along the sunny beach and dropped into The Ship.Warm welcome and plenty of tables to choose from.We opted for the Clawsome Fries, which is a sharing starter and decided we'd order more after that if we wanted anything else. The fries have melted cheddar, white crab meat, creme fraiche and chives, tiger prawns, sour cream, crispy onions and jalapenos - and what a taste sensation it was!The portion was massive and amazing value - not only didn't we need anything else for lunch we only managed a sandwich each for our evening meal.Great value, really tasty and with a menu full of interesting ideas - can't wait to try some more of them! I was also pleased to see a variety of vegetarian dishes on the menu as my son doesn't eat meat but I'm sure there'd be something here to tempt him. We'll be back”

“This hotel is in a very convenient location on the edge of St Austell with good road access. Ample car parking. The accommodation is adequate. Rooms are spacious and clean they supply good brand soap and bodywash/shampoo. Ideal place to stop when on business in the area.”

“Over impressed with the cleanliness and condition of the hotel. We only stayed for one night and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was like new, very clean and fresh. My only grip would be we had to wait for some aspects of the breakfast to arrive, the scrambled eggs had ran out and it took a while to replenish . Other than that it’s a very nice hotel and I didn’t think I’d ever say that about a travelodge…5 stars from me….”

“Plus didn’t realise that food was available in the pub next door. We paid for a breakfast box was ok. But clean and a good nights sleep. Clean room but by the main bit of traffic at night. Easy location to find .”

“This is the perfect place to come atleast once or twice a year. I've taken my partner here for the last 2 years for her birthday and it never disappoints. The staff are lovely, welcoming and very helpful. Everyone goes out of their way to make you experience the best possible and the spa area is to die for. Nothing beats waking up in the morning to a view where the sky looks like it's on fire.”
