“Very cute hotel! Vibes are beachy, costal, chill and immaculate. We thought you had to pay for the parking but it turns out that you can just validate your parking in the hotel free of charge. We couldn’t check in till 3pm but we were allowed to use the spa which was really nice of them. Spa lovely however, there’s not really much space and nowhere to lounge. Rooms are fab, lots of space and we had a great view of fistral beach from our room so no complaints there! Staff are wonderful and reception are there to help you in anyway, staff are really lovely. Overall we loved our stay, we weren’t far from the town centre and harbour a good 20-25 min walk but it was very scenic and we walked along the beach most nights. Love love love!”

“My wife and I had one of the best experiences in any homeware store we've been too with a very polite and knowledgeable man called Harvey. He was patient and really went out of his way to ensure we chose the best mattress and topper for us. We visited a different Dreams where we didn’t get service near to that level. Thanks to Harvey we love our £4000 mattress and topper. Its a shame in-store you cant do 0% deposit so we had to purchase online. If any manager is reading this Harvey deserves commission on what we bought as if it wasn't for him you wouldn't have got this sale. Really happy with our purchase.”

“A friendly, bustling, down to earth place. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming and the staff had good personalities. I loved their attitude to dogs! They were allowed in part of the dining room and the whole atmosphere was buzzing and homely. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

“At short notice I was organising an event for 20 people in August in Cornwall with a number of very particular requirements (disabled access / dietary restrictions etc) - the team at the Plume could not have been more helpful. “Firstly, a massive thank you to Tracy and the team at Lusty Glaze!! Had the most incredible couple of days of singing and dancing and fun. The most beautiful beach (which my daughter loved and enjoyed too) with the loveliest staff and great food! Secondly, to be able to experience the atmosphere and spectacular venue has made our few days amazing. So much so we will 100% be going back and I recommend to everyone! Lusty Glaze is a very unique and special part of Cornwall so even if you’re visiting for the day, a trip down to the beach is a MUST!!!”

“We had a truly fantastic experience with the Kids’ Zone at Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall, where our 6-month-old daughter Marnie was looked after on several occasions during our stay. The team – Victoria, Abbie, Nicki, and Jack – were simply brilliant: calm, patient, and full of warmth.

From the very first drop-off, we felt totally at ease. The space is beautifully set up and clearly run by people who know exactly how to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for little ones. Marnie was always happy and settled when we picked her up – a clear sign she was in excellent hands.

Victoria, Abbie, Nicki, and Jack all brought something special to the experience. Their gentle, professional manner and clear love for what they do made a real impression. They were attentive, caring, and completely tuned in to Marnie’s needs and personality, giving us total peace of mind each time we left her in their care.

We can’t thank the Kids’ Zone team enough for the confidence they gave us, and for how wonderfully they cared for Marnie. They are a true asset to Watergate Bay Hotel, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any family traveling with young children.

“We booked here for Mother’s Day as a table of 8. We had a lovely carvery and the team were really friendly and service was great despite being super super busy. My only constructive criticism would be that we called prior to our booking to check that the regular menu was running along the carvery and we were told it was. When we arrived, only the Mother’s Day carvery menu was on the table so we queried again only to be told that the regular menu was not running alongside the carvery. Some of us did not really want a carvery so that was a disappointment and really just lack of communication from management to the staff. The carvery was delicious though, I can’t fault the quality of the food. We would love to come back and try your regular menu as it looked very nice.”

Food and drinks: Very mediocre. If you love dull branded chain restaurants with pre-packaged food, this will hit the mark.”

“I stayed here at this hotel on a coach trip with many others . It’s a wonderful hotel , friendly staff very clean and lovely atmosphere . It has great coastal walks . The food in the restaurant is excellent , I am coeliac and the waitresses looked after me very well with no problems with my food , especially Nicole a lovely waitress . The entertainment in the bar in the evening was also good and the barman James was very friendly . I would highly recommend this hotel .”

“Excellent selection of furniture, recently purchased a new sofa. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, especially Debi who helped with our selection. Very competitive prices too for really high quality furniture. Will be returning soon to purchase new carpets as there is also an excellent selection of flooring there.”

“Returned to Cornwall and had a lovely meal at the Lewinnick Lodge. Moules Frites with a glass or Rose wine, burger and fries with a pint. The seafood was fresh and the burger juicy.”

“Quintrell arms was a lovely experience, my Sister and I were holidaying in the area and decided to go for a Roast dinner! There carvery was second to none! All very fresh ingredients, really tasty, great portions and very accommodating. The head Chef Simon was really helpful when we asked to take some food away and they provided takeaway boxes and a box to carry them in as they were too hot to carry! The food was absolutely delicious and I cleaned my whole plate! Would highly recommend. Great value for money! A must visit!”

“we stayed here for a weeks break and it was to say the least not very good there was no atmosphere whatsoever no bar and if you wanted to eat or drink after breakfast then you had to eat or drink elsewhere as there is nothing on offer been past here on numerous visits to the area and thought it looked very nice but we were really disappointed with our stay spenymt more time in a nearby hotel with better facilities”

“This is a cool little store that has lots and bits and pieces. There are various items in the store ranging from drinks to dog treats, shoes, towels, some household goods. Lots to choose from, reasonably priced.”

If you can snag a sea-view room, you’ll likely wake up to unforgettable views. The welcoming staff, contemporary rooms, and excellent location make it highly recommendable—especially for short city or beach breaks. Just pack ear plugs, and be prepared to use nearby parking.”

“Its our second time and parkdean newquay. Its perfect for all ages. From start to finish the staff couldn't be more helpful from michelle in reception to the entertainment crew day in day out worked so hard to put on great entertainment. We have loved every second and we are sad to come home. Even writing this the day before we check out. Ella, sasha, hayley and Catherine have been incredible and its been an absolute pleasure watching them every single night and having a good dance and sing along. Catherine and hayley have such amazing voices and its something I will remember for a long time. They have made our holiday and I thank you all. We cannot wait to come back soon. This is the first holiday my oldest children have been on since their dad passed away in November and I can hand on heart say that they have loved every second and thats thanks to everyone at parkdean newquay. I hope to see you all soon and keep up the amazing work. Accommodation was lovely and had everything you could need for your holiday and it even had comfy beds which is such a bonus. Food in the restaurant was fabulous as always.”

“Stayed in one of the Chalets. Lovely and cosy feel. Plenty of kitchen equipment to make substantial meals. You must remember to bring towels and bedding though as this is not included.Brilliant location, within walking distance from Newquay beaches and town centre. Also 2 parks nearby which are lovely to walk around.”
