“Imagine Sainsbury’s… but with less chaos, fewer screaming trolleys, and without the soul-draining obstacle course that is Sainsbury’s Cheshire Oaks.
This one’s the upgrade even tho it’s smaller—like finding out your dodgy old kettle’s been replaced with a posh one that actually boils water and doesn’t scream while doing it.
It’s cleaner, calmer, and doesn’t make you feel like you need a tactical map and a flare gun just to find the eggs.
Staff don’t look traumatised, the fridges hum instead of groan, and the bakery doesn’t smell like it’s given up.
Honestly, it’s like someone took the blueprint for a normal Sainsbury’s and went, “Right, but let’s actually make it decent.”
Dropped a star only because they still pretend Nectar points are actual savings—but hey, it’s miles better than its Cheshire Oaks cousin. Over there, it’s stress in a shopping trolley.
Here? Retail therapy that doesn’t require actual therapy.”
“Aldi, where the staff are cheerful and the prices affordable. Normally clean and tidy inside. Self checkouts or a manned one - your choice. Quality of the fruit and veg can vary but that's the same anywhere.”
