“We had our Wedding here last Saturday. Simon and Harriet were great, they listened to what we wanted and helped make a great menu for our guests. Every single person loved the food, no complaints about how the food was cooked, the chef really knows how to cook a steak properly. The breakfast was great too. Nicole was especially amazing, everything we asked for was met with a ‘yes of course’. The venue is such a nice little gem that made our wedding feel intimate. I would definitely recommend visiting this place to eat and have a wedding”

“The positives... I liked the 1930s wood panelling and art deco door frames. I loved the little cubby holes for the kettle and cups and the ironing board. Bed was comfy. I didn't use the TV (so can't comment). There was also a hairdryer and a small safe box. The staff were lovely. Whatever the stresses of their day, whenever I asked a question or needed help, they smiled at me and helped. Very clean. The breakfast was great. I didn't have dinner there, so can't comment. There was a fan in the room. It was perfectly located for the railway station; the bus station and queensgate shopping centre. Most places were within a 15 minute walk...eg the River Bank, the Cathedral. It was very good value for money. I'd stay there again. The negatives... WiFi signal in my room wasn't great (weak signal); I can sleep through a hurricane, but if you can't it's not a quiet location...trains, and road noise. The views are car park, shopping centre, waitrose. Even so, I really enjoyed staying there.”
