Popping into Spar is the highlight of my day - and not just because of the phenomenal snack selection. What makes this Spar so great is the wonderful staff: they’re some of the friendliest, loveliest people I’ve ever met all going above and beyond for their customers. “This store is being re-organised and the number of serviced tills has been reduced (there were two manned around 3:30 today). Thank you to Ruth on till for making the end of my shop today so much more pleasant than the awful trolley self checkout I endured last week. Not a fan: too many items upset the till and product replacement for a torn pack was DIY. Dismal experience.”

“Lidl is probably the best supermarket on Fishponds Road. The selection of products here is really good and the its bakery, fresh fruit and veg and other household items make it a perfect stop for groceries.

It's quick and easy to get through self checkout.”

“Usually reasonably well stocked, wide aisles and not too long a wait at the tills except during peak times.Car park could be better maintained but that’s not a big deal.”

“EXCELLENT STORE. My initial visit was to go to Argos. I was served by the most pleasant, professional store assistant Donna. Donna guided me through the purchase arranging delivery & payment of my goods. 10/10 customer service.
I then wandered onto sainsburys food store to buy some shopping. Well laid out fully stocked shelves clearly marked aided me in my purchases. The store has a great feel about it with friendly, happy staff to assist you. I am definately going to re visit in the near future. Well done guys !”

“Love lidl, my ideal shop, easy to navigate without lots of choices, their own brands are mostly very good. Bakery is excellent, and I love the freebies when I spend a certain amount using my lidl plus card on the app.”

“I’ve not been to an Iceland before. I was pleasantly surprised by wide selection of foods and great offers. The arrangement of the foods is a little confusing but is a good excuse for a wonder around. I was a bit disappointed not to see any hot springs ?”

“Convenient and well stocked. Helpful friendly staff. Sadly no self-service/express checkout. Small complaint as going outside afternoon/early evening rush results in short-to-no queues.”

“The frozen food collection is good and the staff is also very kind and humble.What I have a problem is that every few months, they seem to decrease the opening timings.First it was 8 to 7 then decreased to 6-30 then opening increased to 8-30, perhaps by the time I write this, it may decrease further.”

“Decent Tesco, helpful staff but queues get worse every year. You need to employ more checkout staff. Also you always run out of milk on a Sunday. The chuggers are getting annoying.”

“I’ve been shopping at Iceland for many years & the service has always been very good. The staff are always happy & willing to assist customers if they can. They are extremely courteous & polite sometimes offering helpful & useful advice as well. The food at Iceland is excellent value for money especially if you’re on a tight budget. They cater really well for people are vegan & vegetarian who might be on a plant based diet. I’d highly recommend to all family & friends”

“We were looking to book somewhere to park when going to football at Ashton Gate. Found this on a parking app and paid £8.25 which was reasonable compared to other parking spaces available. It was handy because it had a petrol station and after the game we popped into store to get a couple of meal deals for the journey home and use the toilets. And it was less than 10 minutes walk to Bristol City FC. Works out cheaper and easier than park and ride especially if there’s more than one person in the car.”

“Ice land is best for frozen items, veg are little expensive compared to other supermarkets. All other items price range are probably similar. The good thing is they often put good offers which we need to follow them keenly?”

“Wow , I was struggling with shopping and my mother in law who sadly has dementia. Stacie really went the extra mile . I wanted a whole box of wet wipes for my grandchild . Stacie put in a bag for me and tied it up so I could carry it . Even put it through till for me . Thanks that’s why I love Sainsbury’s the staff are always lovely. Thankyou”

“I was on my way from dropping my wife at work. The Aldi I would have gone to normally (petherbridge road) has road works nearby. So I went in here. The stock levels were good and the staff were friendly and kind. I enjoyed the experience of shopping in this store.”

“Yesterday night (23.Nov around 7:30) the customer service was like I never experienced in other stores. They were all very, very helpful and nice and smiled and went beyond to help me out. They could all say no, but instead, they looked for different solutions until my little problems were solved. Started with the security guy, then the cashier lady, then 2 guys at the cashier. I go to different Aldi and other brands as well, and I never met with this great customer service.

And at the same time, why is this shop more poor than others? The food selections, the middle section etc is just way less, than I found in other Aldi stores.”

“It is a little weird to rate a supermarket all five stars. But I used to love this Lidl. It had everything you needed and sometimes interesting surprises.Our absolute favourite feature was they used to score their wines, and that way we discovered quite some nice wines at affordable prices.”
