The worst hotel I ever been in my entire life! The location and the hotel would be just fine for short stay as it is a relatively affordable place. However the staff doesn?t clean, they don?t give the complimentary food which part of the deal and what is the most disgusting is the management as they are bullying chronically ill people to the level that they forced to leave, because they prioritise their own policies over the anti discrimination law, namely Equality Act 2010, AND their guest wellbeing, based on pure arrogance and ignorance. If you have diabetes or others conditions which require to keep your medication in fridge you CANNOT stay! They don?t mind dogs barking, children running on corridors, drunk people shouting and shut the doors, even if someone smokes marihuana, but no fridge for your life saving medicine!Grossly irresponsible, unprofessional and dangerous.Safety: Asbestos ceilings, disturbed by water damage and by law should be removed, but their main concern is your brand new fridge which ?causes fire hazard?, because it?s not tested by travelodge electricians. Frankly idiotic and against the law.Walkability: Theoretically they have accessible rooms and disabled parking, whoever those parkings are not monitored and the restaurant costumers regularly take those places without having any disabilities. The doors are not automated, very hard to open and immediately pull back make it very hard to get through even with a stick and walking trolley or wheelchair/ scooter even more. Basically impossible without help.Noteworthy details: Management is an absolute disgrace, discriminating and bullying people with serious health conditions.

This is exactly what is needed for a fast one or two night stop over en-route from one place to another. Don't expect any frills as there aren't any. Simple, minimalistic. Comfortable bed. I'm not sure that I would choose this as a base for my annual two week holiday though.

We stayed in Travelodge Amesbury for one night and based on reviews we were expecting below-average accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised by the state of the rooms, they were clean and comfortable with a heater that you could regulate. There was plenty of coffee, tea, milk, and sugar with a kettle and beds were pretty comfortable with clean sheets. The bathroom would need some work but it was clean and well kept. Travelodge is further from the city center but there is a gas station with Burger King and Subway one minute walk which is really convenient. The location is perfect if you wish to walk to Stonehenge as the walking path is right next to the Lodge. The only issue we had was the deeply incapable staff who was unable to tell us anything about, well, anything. The young lady at the counter didn't know basic things like wifi price (which you have to pay extra and even after you pay, it is not for the entire room but only for two devices - if you are a family, everyone needs to buy there own wifi what is pretty unbelievable). In the evening before the winter solstice (which is why we came to Amesbury) there appeared a sign on the door that the solstice was canceled. I don't know what kind of weird joke was that as none of the official websites mentioned anything about cancellation but the reception lady was perfectly certain that the event with 10000 people coming from all parts of the world was canceled without any proof. Pretty strange. However, if you are looking for basic accommodation, this place is ok.

Came down last minute booking to visit some friends locally and knew we'd be checking in late. Called the day before and requested a baby cot to be put in the room and was advised this would be passed onto housekeeping.Upon arrival we were greeted by 2 lovely receptionists who checked us in very quickly as they could see we had a 2 year old in tow and want to get to sleep ASAP. as we got into the room, we realised a cot ha not been set up. Went back to reception and they were extremely apologetic and said they would be down shortly to set up. Did not hear anything for about 15 mins but then they both turned up with it fully made and with a sheet in. Furthermore, to apologise for the delay and the fact it had not been set up, they offered us 3 breakfast packs. We were extremely grateful and cane in handy in the morning. The room was basic but for comfy bed, and somewhere to sleep and wash, it was ideal, especially for the price in comparison to other competitors in the area. Would visit again if in this area.

I booked 3 rooms for family to celebrate Winter Solstice as we were getting married at Stonehenge. Upon arrival there were posters up saying that Winter Solstice was cancelled, the receptionist couldn't tell us where this information came from, but was adamant that it wasn't going ahead. Other people were told the same and was considering leaving. We were disappointed as we drove from London and there was about 8 of us. After about 30 mins the posters were taken down and no apology given. Also someone entered our room at around 4.30am in the morning. This was meant to be a rememborable occasion.Won't be staying here again!

The staff were very helpful when we stayed 21/12/23 when my husband was ill and we needed to stay another night.

Not the best 4 night stay - A number of observations captured as follows:. Arrived on the first night only to be allocated the wrong room twice and the receptionist blamed the housekeeper on both occasions. We got there in the end though after two attempts.. Although a budget hotel, the place requires some investment, rooms are dated and require a refresh.. Lots of condensation which I believe was due to poor ventilation in the room and shower area. It was evident that an extractor fan was running but wasn?t serving its purpose. The small electric space heater is inadequate.. Staff require more customer service training, on many occasions quite unprofessional and spent lots of time outside the complex chatting and vaping.. I found rubbish under beds, most likely from previous customers, more attention to detail from the cleaning staff in my opinion.Walkability: Close to Amesbury Town Centre, about 10 minutes walk or a couple of minutes by carFood & drinks: Wetherspoons (The Bell), highly recommendedFamily Kebab House also good

Plenty of free parking on site.Check-in was quick and easy. The girl on reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm, and was very quiet.Location is right on the A303, and the exit goes directly to a roundabout, so can go either direction on the A303 really easily, or just a 10-15 min walk to Amesbury town centre (recommend the Wetherspoons there). Was also substantially cheaper than other Travelodges within a 30 minute drive.

Stated here for a night after a wedding. The rooms really are budget in comparison to some travel lodge and other brand travel hotels. It did the job but I wouldn't choose to stay here again. It was very hot and the windows hardly opened, the duvet and pillows were horrible polyester and limp. It was clean and the parking was easy.

Lovely staff working super hard but they seem to be understaffed and a lot of cleaning/maintenance was a bit lacking. The windows were thick with spider webs. It was an unusually hot week and the fan was welcome. However 5 nights with the same bedding in that weather wasn't great.

I stayed here a few weeks ago for my friend's wedding. This hotel is a nice, quiet, no frills Travelodge. You have 30 minutes of free WiFi, anymore you'll have to pay for the WiFi which is something I've never experienced before.Network coverage is extremely poor, if you want to make a call, you have to go outside. If you're looking for food and water, there's a subway, Greggs and burger king next door.
