Great accommodation and good location with fantastic views. Rooms small but more than adequate for a short stay. Owners are very helpful.Stayed twice and will again in the near future

Stayed here for a company event. Venue and rooms were clean and suitable if not exactly anything to write home about. Main downside was that there was a dripping noise throughout the night.

A little gem. A former hotel thus is now a self service/online facility which is ideal for visiting the area. Room was spotless and very comfortably furnished. Bathroom was very modern and spacious with lovely little touches throughout. Great value with a good sized car park and a small outdoor picnic space with stunning views of the dales.

Wonderful accommodation tucked up in the hills with beautiful views. Lovely little touches in the room for breakfast. Tea and coffee facilities. Modern decor with quality finishes. Thank you. Will be back again soon xx

Lovely little place with plenty of rooms of a great standard. The staff are very welcoming and responsive and will always do everything they can to help, should you need anything. It is situated at a height and the roads leading to it are narrow and steep, to most people that is not an issue but my poor little, old car did struggle to get up the hills. The views are more than worth it though, overlooking the beautiful countryside and on a clear night, with stars visible it's a beautiful and very relaxing location.

Went here because it the New Hobbit (public house) advertised real ale.
Room was good, breakfast consisted of 2 pots of oats (in room).
The pub has been closed for 2 years and no sign of reopening.
The nearest pub is about 50 minutes walk away called The Fleece.

Fab place - go for a room with a balcony, the elevated views here are stunning.

The best weekend! We stayed with a large group of friends for a long weekend celebration and it was the perfect place. We had 2 themed events but also made the most of the facilities with a games day on one of the days, so the dart board/pool table & ping pong were all very much appreciated. The function room space was perfect for our quiz night and subsequently a casino night on the Saturday. The options with this venue are endless and also in a great spot for those who want to get out to explore the area and enjoy the views. I have just noticed a review above from our weekend, we did explain that the venue was a private event and closed to walkers who stumbled in on their travels which wasn't well received by them (as polite as we were in explaining) as they didn't seem to quite understand that it was an air bnb, not an open venue for anyone to wander in. We all had our belongings lying around and bedrooms unlocked so we were not comfortable with strangers wandering freely around, in essence it was our home for the weekend! The bedrooms were suitable for all, including those with small children and others with dogs. If your looking for a venue to have a private celebration - this is the place!

Absolutely amazing venue to privately hire out. Especially for special occasions.
All rooms were clean and if we needed anything the team were on hand to help.
This is an air BnB and not a working pub and it seems the previous recent reviewer wasn?t aware of this.
The venue had everything we could ask for with a brilliant location.
Signing off..
Your friendly Resident Orc
May 2025 by Robert Dawson
Advertises itself as a 'Country Inn' both online and just outside, however on entry we were abruptly told by the grumpy resident orc 'this is someone's house'. The bar and tables were clearly set up and guests have recently stayed here having seen recent reviews. No hobbits in sight either.

Lovely rooms, they are clean and spacious. However, the road to it is a nightmare. I am not a nervous or timid driver, but when you have people driving down a very steep
and narrow road at speed while you are going up in second gear, it makes for some quite dangerous experiences. This is the only reason I will not be returning.

Just had a business meeting here and it was the perfect place to get away from it all. Industrial kitchen, great eating/working space and a great recreational area
BYOB is essential as have to run your own bar dining.
Best meeting place we have ever been.
