Went for Mother's Day and while it was as busy as expected it wasn't so packed that there weren't any tables for lunch. The service in the cafe was extremely slow and they took so long to make 3 coffees that our food actually arrived at the table before they had made the drinks. I asked a couple of questions about ingredients and products that they had on sale and nobody seemed to know the answers or who to ask, which is a bit risky. Although I think the hot food was overpriced the cake was absolutely delicious and an extremely generous slice so that made up for it. The coffee was also very nice, despite the wait. The garden centre itself is very large with a good range of the standard fare, including a decent sale on Regatta clothing and footwear. There is a soft play room and and steam train that runs most weekends and holidays, both of which are very reasonably priced and entertaining for littles. Will definitely return.

Didn't look much round the garden center, I was mostly there for the cafe part of the trip. However they didn't have any lunch items - we expected sandwiches, jacket potatoes, or soup. It was just cake, coffee and ice-cream/milkshake type stuff. There were also only 2 cakes and they were not really labeled. Had to ask what they were and the lady didn't seem sure. The queue was also not moving so we gave up and went to Sainsbury's for some bits to eat at home.Good to see the train running, remember it from when I was little

We only go for the cafe, which is lovely. The garden centre looks nice although I wouldn't know, and kids love the miniature railway

Good impression on my first visit. Great selection of goods. Reasonable prices. Cafe serves meals and it seems they have quite a few regulars. Coffee was good. Softplay area is well designed. My grandson loves it there.

A friendly garden centre where you can get food at the cafe. I personally enjoy the food there but it is a little overpriced. There is also the south down railway there for children.

Not a patch on what it used to be. Leaks everywhere, cafe lacked enthusiasm, long queue, weak coffee and horrid cake. Will not go back.
