Nice for a pint outside with heaters in winter, staff always very quick even when busy like Christmas eve or NYE, it always smells of fish at the bar though as the kitchen is right next door to the bar.

Great FOH team, not sure what happened to the BOH though. Our group ordered 4 medium bavette steaks - only 1 came out medium and the rest were alive mooing in our mouths as if they didn?t want to get eaten. They were so chewy the knife couldnt even cut through ??Wanted to give it back but felt bad for FOH as it was already busy. Next time give us the cow and we?ll bite it as it is? That rubbery steak will surely get rid of one?s double chin.

Overall great experience, but if ordering from the Christmas menu - don't order the Waldorf Salad as a starter or the Stilton cheese for desert. Both an absolute joke. The salad was a few leaves - and the Stilton tiny 'taster' serving. Not good value.

Booked for a birthday celebration meal. Pretty disappointing. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins three times, by which time we'd finished our sharing starter which we ended up eating with our fingers. Mains didn't arrive altogether and three of the dishes looked like they'd sat under the heat lamp for some time/bit dried out. Overpriced in terms of quality and service.
Won't be back in any hurry.

Good visuals on burger.
Needs a bit more seasoning on the patties, for £17 - surely adding +1 cheese in the middle won?t hurt the budget?? It will even out the taste too, currently it?s like eating pickles with unseasoned patties on the side haha. Nonetheless, great atmosphere ?

So disappointed with our Sunday Lunch. It looked great but firstly it was cold so we had to send it back. In fairness the staff were lovely and we got two new hot dinners. Quality of the meat was poor. Roasties had been around for a long time and chewy. Yorkshire pudding was dry and tasteless. So disappointing. Would not eat there again. Stars are for the wonderful staff?

We can't fault the service. The lady who served us was pleasant and helpful. The food was okay. The Haddock batter was to thick and greasy. And the cabbage was though.

Our local pub, staff always welcoming, lovely pub super comfy to sit in with good food and drinks and fab Sunday roast highly recommend.

Loved the food (huge portions!) location, service and everything. They paid great attention to my dog as well. Brought him water and treats. Amazing food and customer service. Will definitely return.

Had the ploughman's, wasn't great for the price but friendly enough staff and nice pub.
