I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Ashley as I called after turning up at The Post Office at 1pm for a guaranteed delivery which wasn't there. I went home and at 2pm received an email to say it had arrived buy as I had re scheduled delivery to Maidenbower I was confused as to where it had been sent. I called Ashley and she checked for me and took my number and called me back.
Thank you Ashley x

I went into the store to visit the Post Office. Having concluded my business, I was going past the books and I noticed a book with the most disgusting cover on it of two men kissing! That book would be at eye level of my 2 year old granddaughter. I bought it to the attention of a male member of staff who was serving at the till and he removed it, albeit with a surly attitude.
The following day, I had to go back to do some more business with the Post Office and that book was back on display. I bought it to the attention of an another member of staff who removed it. The man was behind the till and so I went up and had a word saying how disrespectful he was to my complaints and how I felt! He decided to call security!
I had other business in town, but couldn?t hang about to have a chat to them at the time.
About an hour later, I had to go back to the Post Office because of a problem with my Royal Mail tracked and signed for delivery As I was leaving the store, there was a reception committee of 5?.YES, FIVE security guards wanting to have a chat with me! I explained that I?m a grandfather and how I wanted to protect my granddaughters from that book and the offensive cover.
The one who was talking to me clearly saw sense and understood where I was coming from. We shook hands and I departed.
WHSmith or a joke and I see this book and it?s position within the shop as child abuse. The book should be on the top shelf in a plane cover hiding the offensive cover if they want to sell this nonsense!

Appalling customer service!!!
Went into this store yesterday young lady behind the counter, not busy at all I saw 2 people during my shop. I selected my drinks as that's all I popped in for, walked to the counter and she'd vanished... After a small wait about 2mins she reappeared, just stood there no hello, no welcome, nothing... I placed my items on the counter, she scanned them, I had a 10 pound note clearly in my hand, she just put her hand out, no confirmation of price or anything, I also required some bits from behind the counter but no option of anything else was offered. I handed over my money, thinking I'm sure she'll be polite and say thankyou or maybe even good bye at the end... But no nothing! No thankyou, no here's your change, noothing at all, I looked as if to ask the question, but nothing...
Disgustingly rude, if you don't like your job or don't want to be there maybe find a less customer facing role.
And to the manager, why allow such rudeness at the front of the store, where communication is key?
On my way out the next customer approached and said politely good afternoon... NOTHING...

Went in for a bit of wrapping paper upstairs with only 1 self-service checkout and no one on till. An older gentlemen was in front of me and was having issues with his contactless payment. A short haired woman came up and was straight away quite snarky with the man. Was not much help to him at all despite him asking for it. Utter useless. Then when she asked if she can clear the whole order from the self service he said "yes please, so he (me) can go" of which she very bluntly and rudely replied "yes, that's why I asked you in the first place if I could clear the order" and then proceeded to walk off. Being a manager in retail myself and having to help the gentlemen after she decided to walk off, I'd be disgusted by the colleagues behaviour and I would have them no where near customers if that was how she spoke to them. I think she needs a speaking too and asked where her priorities are at. We're all stressed at Christmas and yet most sales assistants and management are still polite and kind. She was not.

Went in to find a magazine, found magazine I wanted. No one was on a till, had to use the self check out that was squished into the corner. Quite hard with a pushchair, boxes around the area on floor which made it worse.

Accessibility:\\nHonestly I avoid going in as much as possible because the carpet is clearly very old and it's wonky. It's difficult to go through the store in my wheelchair because the carpet is always throwing me off to the side randomly so I almost hit shelves or other people.\\n\\nThere's a reasonable amount of space between the shelves though and there is a lift which isn't very big and is a bit tight at the door because of displays, but is still usable. If not for the carpet I think it would be pretty good.\\n\\nThe post office area has smooth wooden floors and low down counters with space underneath, but you do need to go through the carpeted area to get there.\\n\\nI've never had any issues with the staff in either WH Smiths or the post office.
