“Southern Counties (SC) came to our home in 2020 when my wife became too ill to look after herself properly, I had two young children so the help was a god send. I was sceptical at first as I had heard terrible stories about care agencies. Mary the owner came to see us and I could see from the outset that she really cared about her job. As the weeks went by the relationship with Mary and my wife became very strong, then Mary introduced her daughter who also worked for SC. They are both lwonderful people who care passionately about their patients.It was lovely to hear them chat and regularly burst into laughter with my wife, who loved having them visit everyday. Throughout my wife's illness they continued to come but we also had other employees look after my wife when they were not available. All of them were genuinely nice people. They became party of our family over the two years they cared for my wife, and in that time they never let us down. I will always be grateful to Mary and her team for making my wife's life more bearable by treating her with such compassion and loving care. They were very professional and always brought any issues straight to my attention so we could get it treated. They would often stay at the end of their appointment and have a coffee and a chat with my wife in their own time. I can't really praise them enough.After my wife passed away Mary and her daughter were extremely supportive. They both attended my wife's funeral because I saw them as family. A couple of months after her passing I got a call from Mary asking how myself and the kids were doing. She also came round with her daughter to visit me and we revisited some nice memories of their time with my wife. I'm writing this review because I hope that you choose SC's to look after your cherished family member as they are an amazingly caring company. I will always be grateful for what they did for my wife and us ad a family.”

“The time had come to reconsider the type of care that our mum needed. Residential nursing care was an option, but mum really wanted to remain at home. How could we achieve this? Everything about providing live in care for mum seemed very daunting.We talked with several agencies and Country Cousins came out top of the list for us in every way.The carers that have been selected for mum have all provided excellent care in every way and more!Quickly forming good, professional trusting relationships with mum and the family.At all times communication with the agency has been quick and straightforward. “Berkeley Home Health Sussex provided daily care for my father for the last 2 years of his life. I cannot praise the organisation or the carers highly enough. The carers were always jolly and uplifting in their approach to him; were very skilled, kind; caring; respectful and compassionate and never made him feel uncomfortable in his increasing dependency. My Dad was a very independent person and was initially reluctant to have carers but almost immediately he was won over by them and he was from then on happy to have additional care as his needs increased. The carers and the management worked in partnership with me and I always felt my wishes were listened to and accommodated. The office were very efficient at letting me know of any concerns the carers had about Dad; of increasing or decreasing Dad's care package at short notice; and discussing with me the options for increased care towards the end of Dad's life. I cannot convey enough the profound difference the carers made to my Dad’s final years and the differences they brought out in him. He changed in response to their special care. He became happier and more outgoing. He started to engage more in conversations; and to look forward to people coming into his life. I too was happier because my responsibilities as a carer to Dad were shared and I had more time to enjoy our time together.I would absolutely recommend Berkeley Home Health Sussex as a truly wonderful organisation whose carers gave to my Dad the quality, compassionate, and skilled support to live independently which was at a level that was beyond compare and reflected exactly what I wanted for him”
