“This is a well run Charity shop with a good mix of clothing and bric-a-brac. The staff are all volunteers and donate their time for free during opening hours and even collect when not in the shop. There is a changing room at the back and you can pay by cards.”

“Matalan has the stretchy jeans I like, having tried all other supermarkets. The approach to tills is a bit 'DIY', which is generally OK, and you can lose the hangers easily, which is always nice. I will confess that I've been to this store as many times for the Amazon Locker contained therein as to do actual shopping. Again, home wares are a strong point, coupled with a solid choice of clothes. Everything is cheaper and slightly less quality as you'd expect - don't assume that those M&S pants are anything like the real deal, despite the outward similarity. You'll be 'pulling cloth' more often than you'd like. But, yeah, the jeans are definitely good and stretchy and as I'm knocking on the door of 50, comfort is now premium for me, sadly. If I were the sort to go to Sheiks on a Saturday, I think I'd like the ability to pick up some new threads and a new plastic plant in one trip.”
