I stopped here while walking the south downs way. It was about 3/4 mile from the main trail. They were extremely friendly and had everything I needed, including food for lunch and dinner, as well as sunblock. I also got tips from the people who worked there about the walk ahead. I would recommend it as a stopping point...

Amberley's Village Stores is not only about convenience - although it certainly is! - but first and foremost about quality. Colin and his team source the best local, seasonal produce - from tomatoes that smell and taste sooo much better than their 'chilled' cousins in the supermarkets, to breads and honey, vegetables, fruit...

Amberley is one of the most picturesque villages in West Sussex,
situated on the Wey-South path and less than half a mile from the South Downs Way.
Amberley Village Stores and Post Office is in the heart of Amberley, serving the local community and the many walkers, cyclists and visitors to this beautiful area. So please pop in and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised There has been a village shop in Amberley for many years and moved to its present location in The Barn in 1998.
